Wide fit shoes - where to get other than Clarks (and M&S)?

MyrtlethePurpleTurtle · 01/04/2022 14:09

With middle age (and weight gain), my broad feet have become a bit wider.

So goodbye to my office Hobbs shoes - which had a reasonably wide fit - and hello Clarks (and M&S).

However, what other choices are there for me outside Clarks ( and M&S)?

I like some of the Debenhams ‘Good for the Sole’ range, but it’s a bit hit and miss.

Ilovecharliecat · 01/04/2022 14:14

Next do a range of wider feet shoes

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 01/04/2022 14:14

Fly London

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 01/04/2022 14:15

And Birkenstocks for sandals.

mummyh2016 · 01/04/2022 14:31

Next and new look so wide fit.

BeanAnTae · 01/04/2022 14:38

Gabor

FrogFairy · 01/04/2022 14:47

Evans, Yours, DB Shoes and Hotter all sell wide fit though some of the styles might be a bit (or a lot) granny style for you.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 01/04/2022 14:48

Zalando and Asos both have a wide fitting section with a huge range of styles

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 01/04/2022 15:01

German shoes tend to be forgiving on the broader foot - have a look at Seibel or Rieker - although they're possibly more 'comfy shoe' than 'glam shoe'.

ThePowerOfTheDog · 01/04/2022 15:06

Sargasso & Grey.

Dune London do some wise fit shoes.

Hard to find WF shoes that aren't fugly. I don't understand it.

colouringindoors · 01/04/2022 15:07

Fly London and Birkensticks for me too GrinMatildatold

BonnyandPoppy · 01/04/2022 15:10

Hotter have some nice shoes

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 01/04/2022 15:16

Hotter are often recommended for wide feet but I have always found them average width not wide.

Gabor have a reasonable range of wide-fit shoes. Also, depending on what you wear for work and your shoe size, you could check out men's shoes as they are wider. They usually start at around size 6.5 (which fortunately for me is what I am) so if you're smaller than that it won't work for you.

MyrtlethePurpleTurtle · 01/04/2022 16:16

Thanks, all, for the ideas. (Am a size 5)

Vionic shoes. If you have a Charles Clinkard near you they sell many different brands of footwear.

Viviennemary · 01/04/2022 16:22

Hotter do standard fit, wide fit and extra wide. But not all styles come in the wide fittings. Also pavers shoes are wider fitting.

Nannyamc · 01/04/2022 16:22

Reiker or gabor. Double zips also to adjust for width.

fizzyfood · 01/04/2022 16:24

Next do wide and extra wide. New look do a wide fit. J D Williams do wide fit sketchers and wide fit heavenly feet on their website.

MissMaple82 · 01/04/2022 16:25

Simply Be online do lots of wide fit and wider fit. I recently bought some wide fit green slip on pumps that were gorgeous but they were actually too wide. I dont have a particularly wide foot though, more just oddly shaped! 🤔

Maverick66 · 01/04/2022 16:33

Danikm151 · 01/04/2022 16:46

New look have a wide fit and extra wide fit.
Primark usually has a wide fit section.

Obelisk · 01/04/2022 16:51

LK Bennett are fairly wide.

OnGoldenPond · 01/04/2022 16:55

I've had fat little trotters my whole life and swear by DMs sized up about half a size. Comfy and have some street cred! Grin

HermioneWeasley · 01/04/2022 16:55

Pavers

OnGoldenPond · 01/04/2022 16:56
