Anyone watching the red carpet?

I'm not loving all the boring round necklines.

So far there’s nobody who I’ve looked at and though yep that looks amazing. Too much ruffles and weird shit going on. Lily James looks like she’s wearing a sexy nightie and don’t even get me started on Nicole Kidman…

Also why is Nicky Hilton there? Why is she there? I don’t get it.

I'm watching. Love a gown! Lots of really nice dresses on the red carpet this year. Not sure they're of the 'legendary Oscar' category for me. I like a lot of the ones with cut outs this year. Modern, stylish and sexy. But this one from Tracee Ellis Ross is a big no for me. Didn't even like the similar style on Gaga from the Critics Choice earlier this month.

Totally agree with Lily James & Nicole Kidman - her dress is truly awful. And the colour is all wrong on her. Completely washed her out. So far I think one of my favourite 'looks' (not gowns) is Zendaya.

Like the silhouette of Olivia Colman's dress, but she has a warm skin tone. The dress should have been gold. She would have looked incredible if this was gold. Instead it totally washes her out

I like Zendaya - it's "her"

I do quite like Kirsten Dunst - also that with all the ruffles they kept the bling discreet.

Really don't like Jessica Chastains - top not bad but the skirt and hem - just No .

I love Jada Pinkett Smith's big green frilly number. Don't like any of the others I've seen. Maggie Gyllenhaal's dress is not good imo. Also agree re Lily James's nightie!

Haven't seen Kersten Dunst yet. Will have to find that one.

Agree about Jessica's dress and Maggie's. It's just terrible. Black column with coat hooks.

I quite like Mila Kunis' dress as well as this other pink one. Lost the other photos of it when I refreshed IG. Not sure if her name either

Alana Haim for the simplicity, Regina Hall for the glamour and this is my favourite as it's the perfect dress for a 15 year old

Jennifer garner looked like she had Julia Roberts pretty woman dress on.

Looked like she hadn't done her hair ....

Olivia Colman looks great - it's a much better dress than the one she wore when she actually won. If it was gold it would've tipped her over into looking like an Oscar though.

I also love the drama of Jada Pinkett's green dress. It's a gorgeous colour and she can carry off those if silhouettes.

Probably in the minority here but I think Kristen Stewart looks fantastic! She's never been one for conventional styles and the tux with shorts is very much in her wheelhouse and she's carried it off with aplomb.

But let's face it, the outfit that's going to get the most press is Timothee Chalamet's lack of shirt!

I think it was a disappointing year for dresses. I think Zendaya looked amazing but she always does.

I hate all the pink and ruffles. Lily James looked awful, didn’t even realise it was her, all looked cheap.
Maggie G just looked bizarre but somewhere to hang your coat though.

I’ve just had a flick and there are some shockers. I think Kirsten dunst was one of the best and I liked Zeyenda’s one. Lily James is a beautiful woman but that dress did nothing for her at all.

Of everything I’ve seen, Lupita Nyong'o looks the best.

Also loved Kirsten Dunst and Zendaya.

On the male side, Cumberbatch looked strangely dorky. In my head this is a picture of Martin Crief and Princess Theresa at a royal occasion.

Liked David Oyelowo who seemed very confident, but the abnormally handsome Jaime Lannister's off-white suit is horribly ill fitting, and looks grim with a bright white shirt.

Agree - loved Lupita’s dress. Also liked Cumberbatch’s partner’s one. In general I think a lot of the wives/girlfriends looked better than the actual celebs.

Lupita looked amazing. I liked some of the mens’ colourful suits (though not the epidemic of socklessness). Didn’t like the exposed bodies - too much flesh on show (K-Stew, Timothee, Zendaya, that lady whose dress had a slit right up to the armpit so you could see her groin …)
