If you are size 10 do you buy small or medium?

For when sizing is small medium large rather than numbers

It varies on the brand. I find supermarket clothing way too big. A small is nearer a 12 so I get XS.

I'm usually a 10 (not currently, bah) and tend to buy a small in tops and medium in bottoms - I have big thighs and calves and find a small can be too tight in the leg.

I buy S in Cos, Arket, &otherstories, but somewhere like H&M or Zara would need M or even L. I am a v hippy 10 so would never buy trousers that weren’t a dress size.

5 ft 6 size 10 in normal shops though can be an 8 on the bottom in supermarkets (which is ridiculous)

It depends on the brand and style. I like the isocool type tops for walking, but don't like them tight so sometimes end up with a large. so I've got a mix from XS upwards.

Usually medium. Because I'm a 10-12 really. Bottoms I'm more of a ten. Sometimes would get a small can usually tell by looking at the item. If it's stretchy such as joggers, I'm more likely to go for a small.

In S/M/L I need a small. 8-10 in numbered sizes.

I think Decathlon is French and its sizes tend to be on the small side.

It varies — I'm quite hourglassy, so it depends how fitted it's meant to be over the bust and/or hips.

I'd go for a medium if I didn't know.

Usually a small. If I’m not sure about the fit I check to see what the model is wearing and that usually helps. All saints I’m a medium for example.
