Plus size summer wedding guest outfit

Looking for a dress to wear as a wedding guest this summer. It’s a fancy wedding on a very fancy estate and we’ll be attending the whole day.

Here are the specifics:

• Apple shaped size 20, G cup boobs
• Mid brown hair and pale-ish skin
• No green or purple please
• Hate my belly & im not a big fan of the tops of my arms so having them covered would be nice but I can live with them not being 🤣 (the arms that is, not the belly - it must be covered! 🤣)
• it’s my first “event” that I’ll be attending with my toddler after all these lockdowns so the more “chasing the child” friendly it is, the better 🤣
• I have a decent shoe collection so can probably find shoes/bag to go with most things

Budget up to £250 absolute maximum, but obviously would be happier spending much less if possible 😊 work your magic for me Mumsnet 🤞🏼❤️

This is m and s and would look lovely dressed up as well as being super comfortable.

The shirring on the bust means it would flow over your tummy. I have lost weight so now a 16/18 but still a solid apple shape and i think this would be lovely on you.

@Emily29 not sure about either of those specific ones - maybe something with a pattern would be better 🤔 but I like the wrap style!

@supercatlady I’ve just had a wee look at that site but I feel like the dresses are a bit too retro for my taste 🤔 I’m not hugely into the vintage style. I should have also said in my OP, I’m 30 if that’s relevant 😊

Asos Curve has some beautiful dresses. I bought a maxi dress in navy for a special occasion from there and it covered my arms, it had a beautiful flow to it so the stomach was well hidden. It just fit really well and still looked classy. I'd definitely recommend their dresses.

Thanks @atz333 😊 I’ve had a few bits from ASOS curve and found their sizes to be a bit all over the place! That was jeans and jackets though so might just have been unlucky 😊 will definitely have a look at their dresses!

Next do this dress in about 6 colours and designs, including a spotty one, tall and petite options up to a size 20, regular up to a size 26- I've seen it in store and it is really lovely. Might be worth a try?

Lovely dresses on Oh Betty, add a pair of lulu hun heels and you’re away. Just bear in mind they’re made to order so it takes 2 weeks before it comes through.

Marina RInaldi is a great brand for plus sizes (its a membe of the MaxMara stable). New is probably out of your budget but ebay is usually a good shot
