Is this ok for a bridesmaid dress?

The bride has said I can choose anything. It’s a church then pub reception in the summer. I’m 36, size 12. Is this dress ok? Too casual? The bride is lovely and would say yes to anything and I want to get this right (and also look nice in the photos!)

You'd be able to wear this again.

But @ValkyrieVik is right to say tie in with the brides style.

Oh sorry, now I see these two are out if stock, but have a look at their website.

I agree third dress is beautiful and more suitable for the occasion

No. Its white. Someone will think you're trying to get attention off the bride even if you aren't.

Absolutly not a guest outfit.

Definitly not bridesmaid material. Why is the bride not choosing the bridesmsid dresses?
TableSetting · 13/03/2022 17:34

Flowers? Will you be carrying a small flower bouquet - some of the patterned dresses may be difficult to coordinate flowers with. Something to think about.

BattledoreAndShuttlecock · 13/03/2022 17:35

I love the sequinned Maya, but might get it taken up to midaxi/calf length for a more casual wedding - you'd still have room in your budget for that.
Worth checking what the bride is wearing though, so that you look like you're at the same wedding IYSWIM.

I think you're going to have to run it past the bride. I know she's said you can choose but you have chosen some different style dresses here and you want to look vaguely like you're with the bride.

I think it’s good to compliment the bride but not match.

So colour ways and cuts.

The green ghost dress so far has been the nicest I think.

I think you can also make a simple floaty dress more bridal party with the right accessories. So if the bride is wearing a flower crown, then you could too but in a much plainer simpler flower. Or if she’s wearing a big beaded blingy headband you got for a complimenting side slide. Do you are what I mean?
