At home eyebrow tint

Does anyone tint their eyebrows at home? I really want to try it so I can skip doing my eyebrows in the morning as part of my make up routine (every minute with an 8 month old is a prisoner haha). Any recommendations?

I use Refectocil about every three weeks. Takes 5 mins and requires absolutely no skill and gives me the nice cool brown that I'm after. Tube lasts forever.

chipsandpeas · 11/03/2022 20:24

i do, but i use the some of the dye i use on my hair - hair on for 45mins and brows for about 15

This Schwarzkopf eyebrow tint is fantastic, and you only need half of what it recommends, so you can get 20 applications out of it!

tigerbird · 11/03/2022 20:33

I bought a dye kit to do this, but it sounded so fiddly and messy I kept putting it off. Then last time I had a massage I asked for an eyebrow tint and the lovely girl did it for me in about five minutes with no mess or fuss for about £9.

So I really recommend just getting someone to do it for you! I know it’s v hard with a baby to find any time for yourself, but if you can get someone to look after your little one for an hour or so while you have a facial or massage and a brow tint, wow it’s really worth it just for a short bit of time just for yourself.

tigerbird · 11/03/2022 20:34

(Make sure you have/do a patch test beforehand though if you don’t already dye your hair.)

I buy Just for Men beard dye. It’s excellent. Takes like 5 minutes.

I have a baby and understand!

I use rapid brow, it is AMAZING. You put it on day and night and after about 8 weeks my eyebrows are so full. I don't have to use make up on them any more. It's the only product I've used that actually does what it says. You have to keep using it or they go sparse again but it's great.

CecilyTheWake · 11/03/2022 20:37

I use Eylure and leave it on for about 30 mins. It’s super easy to use and one packet lasts ages as you only need a bit.

NameChangeCity123 · 11/03/2022 20:38

@Sexnotgender I would never have thought of this!!!! I am super fair- Mac NC10 and blonde hair so would have assumed hair dye would've been too harsh. You're so brave 🙈

I will. Have quite sensitive skin so will be sure
To patch test

Eyelure is absolutely brilliant. Just put some Vaseline around the outside of your brows with a cotton bud and it’s very very difficult to get wrong!

May just do this. Have a place down the road that may be useful and pretty inexpensive. Went to benefit as my friend gets hers done there but honestly they lasted such a short time I was a bit disappointed

I’m fair too, ivory in most foundations! Honestly it’s totally fine. Loads of people do it.

Is this to increase growth or does it make the brow hair more Defined?

This, I’m fairly light on the eyebrows and light brown works for me. Used eyelure before but this is more professional standard dye.

Good idea, thank you. I'm just up for something more Long term than daily make up - so annoying putting it on every day!

That's exactly what I need- I'm no beauty therapist 🙈

Have just looked it up/ do you use it on eyelashes too or just brows?

I used Eylure for the first time recently and it worked really well. I only left it on for 5 mins and the colour was perfect. I’m very pale so was worried about it looking too harsh. It was very easy too.

Somebodylikeyew · 11/03/2022 20:46

I put a little bit of hair dye on my brows when dying my roots each month or so :)

singlepringlenotbychoice · 11/03/2022 20:53

I used to use refectocil which is great but tried just for men beard tiny and won't go back to anything else. Brilliant stuff
