At home eyebrow tint

Does anyone tint their eyebrows at home? I really want to try it so I can skip doing my eyebrows in the morning as part of my make up routine (every minute with an 8 month old is a prisoner haha). Any recommendations?

I use Eyelure . It’s very easy and gives good results.

I looked at Refectocil recently. Those of you who use it, does it last a while? I have mine done professionally and within a week they're fading and I'm back to using eyebrow make up.

Another vote for Just for men! I use light brown last box £6.50 in Tesco - lasts for ages.

I've been using Eyelure for years. It would be very difficult to get it wrong, it's very easy.

Does it go a bit coppery or warm at all? I don't especially want ginger eyebrows.

I started doing mine in lockdown and it is so super easy, gutted I used to pay a tenner in the salon for something so easy! I’m a pale blonde and use refectocil light brown.
If nervous I recommend putting it on only for a few minutes initially, you can always do it again. I normally put it in for 5 mins and do it every 2 weeks, it wears off quite quickly. (As did my salon one).
You’ll also need the solution and a disposable brush to apply.

Aworldofmyown · 11/03/2022 21:21

I use Eyelure in-between my wax and tint (I go every 8 weeks) it's really easy. My eyebrows take quickly and are light, so mine is literally on a minute.

Peachy7 · 11/03/2022 21:24

Try henna brows, it lasts longer than a tint.

Rapid brow increases growth and makes the hair thicker and healthier, I'd say mine are darker but I'm olive skinned so I can't be sure it's not just because they are thicker now. I'd definitely recommend it for fullness and healthy brows though.

@Imabouttoexplode No, it's great. I got a proper one - can't remember the make - as I'm very fair and it turned them copper/ginger. Read someone during lockdown about JFM so gave it a go - really is fabulous. I put a little vaseline on the outline of my brows, mix a little of the two tubes in the box, brush it on (i'm using an eyeshadow brush) leave it for 5 minutes exactly (looks black - don't worry), wipe it off. Never been back to get them done at a beauticians since.

I don’t even bother with the Vaseline now! I like to live dangerously 😂

ShakeYourSpear · 12/03/2022 13:12

I started tinting my own with JFM over lockdown too. What a revelation! I'll never get them done professionally again.

It's so easy, so quick and I don't bother with Vaseline. You can just wipe any dye off your skin.

My eyebrows are white blond and the light brown dye is fine. Just wish I'd done this sooner! I would have saved so much money!

fab, thank you. will buy it tomorrow and give it a bash.

Imabouttoexplode · 13/03/2022 12:52

I've just done it! First time ever, either at a salon or at home. Used JFM light brown. Left on for 5.5 mins. Will get at least 5 applications out of the kit. Had a heart attack when I looked in the mirror at the end of the 5 mins. They were as black as night but it all came off thank God. They look a bit red ish in the pic but I can't see that in real life and I'm pretty pleased overall with it.

I was coming on to say I tint mine with stuff from boots but am delighted to get the tip about the Just for Men beard dye ! Thank you.

I've my brows microbladed so the white hair sticks out more.

Isabelle70 · 13/03/2022 13:33

I use Refectocil in light brown and they last about 3 weeks. I would never be able to do daily brows so this works for me. My last bottle of developer was 10 years old still had some in it but decided I most likely needed a new bottle!
Reminds me I will do them tonight as I want to get my passport photo done this week 😀

purdypuma · 15/03/2022 19:06

I just use a little bit if leftover hair dye applied with an old mascara wand when I do my roots every month. Leave it on 10 mins & put vaseline above & below my brows. No mishaps to date.

Itsbackagain · 15/03/2022 22:04

@Imabouttoexplode they look great - JFM brilliant isn't it!!

HunterHearstHelmsley · 15/03/2022 22:09

I use this www.schwarzkopf.co.uk/en/home/brands/haircolour/brow-tint/product-lines/shades/dark-brown.html

I have blonde brows, get them tinted once a month (when I have them shaped), and top up with this after 2 weeks.
