Tell me about your favourite lipstick 💄

Now that mask wearing days are over, I feel like splashing out on new lovely lipsticks.

I tend to always end up with much the same shades. My favourites are Bobbi Brown and Chanel (Adrienne and Cecile - nudes are so easy to wear for every day, you don’t have to be so precise).

I could revert to my old favourites, but what are your favourites?

Mac faux with soar lip liner is my fave but also like velvet teddy original, velvet teddy 2, fast play, ruby woo.

Love all the Nars lip products, feel very comfy on the lip and wear really nicely.

I also really like the Bobbi brown art stick in bare as lipstick and cheek combo

Oooo, Mac Ruby woo! They do mini versions as well, which is a really good idea.

My DD bought me a Sleek lipstick for Christmas, as I said I wanted something a bit brighter for going out. I have seen too many photos of me with neutrals on and looking pastey. Anyway, this Sleek Lipstick is fabulous, has great staying power and the colour is perfect.

I got into purple recently, as also branching out post mask wearing. I like the YSL rouge volupte shine lipstick (plum jersey). It's sheer and has a nice the texture & scent. Would definitely like to try other colours of this lipstick for spring as it's easy to wear for daytime.

Mac Velvet Teddy. It's subtle, so it's not obvious that I'm wearing lipstick but I look a bit more polished wearing it.

Bewitching Coral, or my that has brought back such lovely memories. My lovely mum always wore it, but it was back when women had only one or two lipsticks, a compact and 'rouge'. As a little girl I was fascinated by her make up and remember 'bewitching coral' so well.

I wonder when it was first brought out.. I'd guess late 60s.

Btw I have one also, and agree it's still lovely

Charlotte tilbury hot Emily if I want a bright statement lip.
For everyday wear I love Bobbi brown extra lip tint, more pigmented than normal balms, easy to wear, feel polished wearing it and don't feel over done, like all the Colours tried so far, might collect them all, I like them that much.

I recently brought this Bobbi brown one in violet vision. It’s a lovely everyday pinky nude. It’s a little bit dry/Matt but not too much.

The Charlotte tilbury glosses are lovely as well. Not too sticky. I can’t wear pillow talk though as it washes me out.

Another vote for MAC Velvet Teddy - it's everything that Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk should be but isn't.

My favourites at the moment are Etude Fixing Tint in Dusty Beige - this is honestly the best liquid lipstick I've ever used. The Korean ones just aren't drying like western options.

I also love Glossier Ultralip in Villa which tbh is exactly the same colour as the one above, but a sheer glossy lipstick. So nice for a quick slick.

Paired together they are perfect for my skintone, I just love them. Perfect pinky-brown nude!

I've just had one custom made. It's a really dark crimson with gold undertones and I love it.

We are still wearing masks (in Canada), and I just read about and purchased a Maybelline superstay ink crayon and love it. I bought a coral/nude, sorry forgot the name of it, and it has super staying power, without the dryness of the usual long lasting lipstick. It barely transfers onto my mask. For a drug store purchase it's really nice.

I also noticed I looked washed out next to a friend in photo, so pledged to wear lipstick more often!

Charlotte Tilbury Bond Girl is the colour suits me better than any other lipstick. It's a shame that it's so drying, even with balm. The formula really let's it down.

We’re still in masks in Scotland but I have worn red lipstick throughout. My favourites are Lisa Eldridge Velvet Ribbon and Velvet Morning. I sometimes branch into hot pink and like Nars Schiap.

I love a lot of the colours by urban decay. I particularly like big bag (something) metal a deep plummy pink with a shimmer. Bought it one Christmas to wear to a party and still wearing it. Every time I do, someone says I love your lipstick .

Chanel Rouge Noir - looks very dark, a bit the colour of blackcurrants, and goes on quite dark, but if you blot it, it stays on all day as a very pretty plum coloured stain

Mac Marrakesh is one of my favourites. After applying, I blot and then reapply, then blot a few times again. It's too "going out" otherwise, unless I am going "out out".

I'd love a nice nude but trying to find one that suits my olive skin is difficult. I've wasted so much money on buying lipsticks that are not good for my colouring.

Dior 999. Fire engine red.

I used to love MAC rebel rose.

Now I switch between lip pencils like MAC Kittenish rather than lipsticks.
