Lousy weather day again here so I’m going to get some work done so I can enjoy half-term. Warm and comfy outfit, which I think I’ve posted before; so, for the sake of adding a smidge of excitement, I’ve tried to a prop-and-tabletop pic of my new custom Converse.

I love those trousers @EnoBaby. And the custom converse look very nice too.

Did you get to go out out in the stylish dress @Sooverthemill? I’m impressed you’re just in a tee today - it’s really cold here!

@OublietteBravo yes we went out out! To a lovely restaurant in a nearby town. It was a little odd to be out but the restaurant was as it always used to be, gorgeously decorated and the food superb. It was even odder as they serve our son's bread and other baked goods. So they asked if we were his parents. Naturally I had to tell them it was me who thought him how to make bread standing on a step stool on Saturday mornings. And I overheard people talking about the bread and saying how good it was. Weird. He's a bit of a local celeb these days, supplying most pubs, restaurants and even RSPB and the NT. @EllaPaella will remember the issues we had when he dropped out of uni in 2017. All changed! Anyway yes I went out and wore a coat and everything. Such fun

Morning all. 👋 Thanks for the new thread @EllaPaella. Horrible cold, wet day here, and bf and I have colds - not covid, just common or garden Scottish colds, lol. So sitting here with PurplecatDog feeling sorry for myself, wearing old harem pants from Michael Kors that in cost-per-wear terms must be in negative equity by now, with DM sandals, and an (unseen) old Vivienne Westwood climate change tee.

When you buy from Converse online, there’s ‘by you’ option for most styles. You choose fabric and colour for both sides and tongue, laces, stitching, eyelet colour, sole, badge, pretty much every element that you see on the shoe. Don’t think they cost any more either but they did take about 5 weeks to arrive.

It started off beautiful here this morning, 13° and sunny, clear blue skies. I had a gorgeous early sea swim. It's absolutely lashing down now and blowing a proper hooley. Feeling very glad that I walked the dog for nearly 3 hours this morning as I don not relish the prospect of another dog walk. Going to cook a roast chicken with all the trimmings - it's just the weather for comfort food.
