Comfortable white trainers?

Please help me find some that are actually comfortable and look good! This seems like it should be such an easy ask, trainers are the most comfortable shoes to become fashionable in my life but somehow I'm still struggling. To give context, the only shoes that I have ever found truly comfortable are Birkenstocks. I have really awkward feet!

I have tried so many and found them too narrow at the toes or agonising at the back - I had a pair that shredded my heels so badly the blood soaked the whole back of the shoe and stained them.

The best I have are a pair of canvas sneakers from Toast but I'd really like a leather pair for easier cleaning. Also the soles don't give great support for longer walks.

My holy grail is half sizes (6.5) white leather trainers with a wide rounded toe and backs that don't rub the skin away (ouch!) - do they exist?

Compeed Blister plasters are fantastic for anyone with blistered heels. I've very sensitive heels and new shoes can rub them raw very quickly and make it really painful to wear any shoes for a few days until discovered the blister plasters instant relief.

They may not be cool but you want Skechers. They are so comfortable. Put white leather Skechers trainers into Google and you will get a few styles. You can walk miles in them, they are properly supportive and good for wide feet.

My A&Gs did need breaking in, but now they are really comfy. My Allbirds are also good, but not as stylish.

Another vote for Air and Grace.

I have two pairs of the Cru Signature and wore them straight from the box, without socks, and they have been fab from the off. Never rubbed and are really comfortable.

Chezrone · 23/02/2022 22:08

I got a pair of new balance lately (not the chunky ones - 373s) and out The box were so comfy, walked 10 miles on the second wearing and no blistering !

Rosebuud · 23/02/2022 22:13

I’ve several pairs of white trainers but for serious walking and comfort you can’t beat sketchers white trainers, have a look on Amazon, there is loads of different styles.

BitterestPill · 23/02/2022 23:07

I love my Superga's..I have a few colours but my favourite ones are the white, I wear them loads in the summer. I have arthritis so refuse point blank to wear anything even remotely painful, my body can do that all by its self!

Nike airforce 1 www.jdsports.co.uk/product/white-nike-air-force-1-low-womens/1267779/

Ah pants, my pumas arrived today and they are definitely no good, they don't seem to bend, my heels come straight out of them.

Adidas Ozweego's - ugly as hell but comfy beyond for wide, gnarly feet like mine Smile

Nike Air Max

gladysp2 · 28/02/2022 18:43

Regarding the Nike AF1 - i have some that are really comfy. I’m a 6.5 size too so if you search the biggest youth sizes they do a size 7Y or a euro 40 which is spot on for a uk 6.5

Broody1976 · 28/02/2022 18:52

I have Adidas supercourts. A white leather pair, a black leather pair & a canvas pair for summer. I’ve got quite wide feet & am on my feet a lot at work. These are the absolute best trainers I’ve had. Look great with jeans, smart trousers & dresses…

GellerYeller · 28/02/2022 19:01

I have all white Adidas Stan Smiths. I bought my normal size but from the men's page of the website. I've got wide feet and have lived in them through lockdown. I find Converse very narrow which is annoying as DCs go in the washer and come up lovely.

BlueSpottedGiraffe · 28/02/2022 19:06

I'm going to New York soon and I'm currently on the hunt for a new pair of trainers, I'm so glad I found this thread!

Just ordered a pair of Air Force 1's and a pair of Stan smiths to try.

Girlmumdogmumboymum · 28/02/2022 19:14

Get yourself some airforce 1s OP. They're my goto, sounds like we have equally weird feet.
I now have 5 or 6 pairs of them.

seanthesheep · 28/02/2022 19:26

I discovered Nero giardini trainers last year and they are the most comfortable trainers I have ever worn! They are a bit pricey but worth every penny!!

AnnieSaxophone · 28/02/2022 19:32

I’ve always had the same issue as you and I succumbed and saved for a pair of Golden Goose superstars - my god. I’ll never wear any other trainers again. They’re incredible and I wear them ALL THE TIME.

Kracken · 28/02/2022 19:39

I am a recent convert to Nike AF1s and like other poster I love them. I have very wide feet and a high arch and they are so comfy and also look great! I have all white leather pixel ones. I have had comfy white trainers before (had a few pairs of Geox ones) but they made me feel mumsy rather than cool like the AF1s do. They come in a wide range of styles and materials and you can customise them too if you are feeling extravagant.

cpox · 28/02/2022 19:47

Reebok club classic 85 are my most comfortable pair of trainers, no break in phase and can wear all day. I’m an awkward half size and have flat feet. Pretty much most shoes (even comfortable ones) I will feel on my feet or rub slightly if walking a lot because of my flat feet but the Reebok’s don’t.

Adidas stan smith and Nike Air Force one also comfortable with little to no break in phase.

Veja’s are the worst trainers I’ve ever tried, both v12 and campo’s were more uncomfortable than heels for me! Extremely disappointed as it defeated the point of wearing trainers, also it’s especially annoying when they’re the most expensive brand of trainers I own.

Van’s old skool are comfortable for me now but did have a slight break in phase where they rubbed my heel. Nowhere near as bad as Veja’s pain though.

Also had a break in phase with converse that was more painful than the Vans, but once got through it they were okay to wear.

The pixels are actually my favourites! ♡ The beauty of the AF1s is the regular updates... currently wearing the UVs will need a new pair as the sun comes back though I think!
HopelesslyOptimistic · 28/02/2022 20:05

Hogan, but expensive.

ChefWannabe · 28/02/2022 20:40

I pretty much can only wear Birkenstocks these days. I had a surgery for Morton neuroma but still can't use anything narrow. Have you looked up Birkenstock's shoes recently? They do have trendier models, including a white leather one that may be your holy grail - look for their Bend Low model

k69atie · 28/02/2022 21:21

Nike Air Force 1
Converse (move ox trainers)
