I have bought 3 pairs recently:

  1. From Seasalt- they are see-through and have washed terribly. Most expensive and complete rubbish. All of Seasalt's - organic/ enviro/ Cornwall pontificating and they are made in Vietnam
  2. From M and S - a bit better in thickness but wash better
  3. From Sainsburys- much thicker and wash much better

Joules leggings have been the thickest and softest I have found so far.

RandomMess · 18/02/2022 23:12

Bizarrely got some good ones in Matalan very recently!

Anyone tried mint velvet leggings?

The sculpting ones from M&S are fab - they're like proper trousers thickness-wise, but with the elasticity of leggings. I bought two pairs in Autumn 2020 and have lived in them for two winters - they are yet to bobble or go thin.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 18/02/2022 23:35

I've had basic leggings from m and s and they're see through

Cakecakeandcake · 18/02/2022 23:36

Next

DoodleBelle · 18/02/2022 23:54

Next are good

Enough4me · 19/02/2022 00:29

M&S are pushing encouraging staff to wear gender badges and to let men in women's changing rooms, so I am boycotting them.

imsoverytired83 · 19/02/2022 00:30

Yes i have tried mint velvet leggings and I rate them highly!!! Very comfy

StarryNightSparkles · 19/02/2022 01:00

Matalan and Tesco both do really lovely thick comfy leggings.

Nothing better than Lululemon Align in my opinion. Worth the cash

camperqueen54 · 19/02/2022 01:21

Mango

Sunnyday321 · 19/02/2022 08:21

I haven't tried them but see a lot of adverts about a company online called Love Leggings. Had anyone tried them ?

balalake · 19/02/2022 09:23

Why not jeans?

Brunonononooo · 19/02/2022 09:25

Vvvv expensive but no legging I have ever tried will compare to the Spanx ones. Very think and also sucky inny which is a winner for me (not too tight and restrictive like the underwear though). Also don’t seem to roll or fall down.

supadupapupascupa · 19/02/2022 10:19

I bought some from M&S and the calves are way too tight (I'm a size 22)
Next go baggy or are too high waisted
Sainsburies you need the luxury ones
Simply be awful, fit but always too thin and baggy
Snag do some really thick ones with pockets that are amazing! Spendy though and a bit too thick for all year round.

So marking my place!!

I came on this thread to recommend Love Leggings! They are a bit spendy but they are brilliant quality, no going see through at all (I'm a size 16/18 with a big bum and thighs) and really soft on the inside. I've also got their jeggings which I would recommend!
Sunnyday321 · 19/02/2022 12:39

@MoonBat
That sounds positive .

Photolass · 19/02/2022 12:42

M & S do cosy jeggings which I love for winter. They are lined in a fleecy lining, they wash well and keep their shape. The only problem I have is that the colour and size I want is nearly always out of stock.

@balalake

I have to be smart casual so thought thick leggings would be better

TLC sports. Really good quality. Mine are about a decade old and still perfect.

dreamingofsun · 20/02/2022 10:30

Landsend starfish ones are great. I wait till they are in the sale or they do one of their heavy discounts

Lyricallie · 20/02/2022 10:33

I got some decent ones from M&Co recently, which I'm pleased with.
