Osprey london bag - what would you think? Silent judging.

Am looking at buying a couple of bags - small cross body and a larger hobo.

Very slow fashion here, when I do buy it will be with me till it falls apart. I'm not bothered about a label for a labels sake.
But I work in a very judgy industry where sometimes I'll be required to go to an actual meeting with strangers ( I love zoom) and I don't want them giving my choice of bag the side eye.
So stuff has to be under the radar but awesome or no obvious label or acceptable to those who judge.

I was attracted to Osprey london , well the sale, but then the sheer number of discount shops has made me question the brand.

Don't hold back bitches, what would you silently think, or could you even tell, if you spotted an Osprey bag at the meeting room.

I’ve been looking at the Mimi Berry Instagram and they have some new styles coming out soon. This might work OP?

They have an old style called Honey that I like but I think it’s discontinued. They appear to refurbish bags too which is great.

This little cutie, I may have ordered the last one! I've got two days off this week and a trip to London, so it will make me look chic. Well, my bag will look chic. The rest of me will still look like a middle aged frump.

Can I just say you sound like a wonderful person. You won’t want my advice which is to not give a shit what they think. It’s a slippery slope as handbag may not be enough ie outfits and shoes will follow to fit in with nice bag. Personally, I don’t think it’s down to one time (I see the most badly dressed people with expensive bags, and the whole look is hideous).

Only one slim pocket, but fine for a little bag. It will take over from this camera bag, so doesn't need to be any bigger.

I thought the leather would be a bit softer, it's very stiff, that's the only thing I'm a bit surprised by.

I'm after a green smallish bag if anyone has seen anything. Like a racing green. Can only find that colour on mulberry and I don't really want to spend that much.

How about some any of these? I have loads of Zatchels bags and really like them. They aren't luxurious, but they are pretty sturdy, come in lots of colours and last for years.

If I were you? I’d treat myself to a mulberry. Timeless, hard wearing and will always look the part. It’s an investment but worth it

This type of industry really looks down on Mulberry. Total Mum bag. My in laws work in fashion, and Chanel or a Birkin are basically your only truly safe options.

I have a second hand Proenza Schouler, which is quirky enough to pass.

I hate judgemental people op. I've got and osprey and I so love it but like pp it's faded . I get more use out of my le pliage. The bag is an absolute workhorse, fits in everything .

I do notice bags. Osprey I would think it may not be the most fashionable but I think if the style and quality of leather was good I would admire it. I've seen some good quality Radley bags on people and again I think it's not the most fashionable but if it works and makes you feel good buy what you want.

I found Chanel bags appealing previously but would not buy one due to the price but I've heard the quality has declined, prices gone up and as so many influencers have them they have lost the appeal they had but that's just me. I think the volume of influencers that buy certain It bags can be off putting...also when brands gift these bags.

Have a look at Australian brand Oroton.

I walked past Osprey in Piccadilly and thought of you @TunaTuna. Despite the glam shop, the bags really didn’t great from a quality perceptive.

Am now looking at a lovely green Coach bag but I feel like the brand is a bit mumsy...really like the bag though.
