Non stingy eye make up remover

Everything makes my eye sting! My hg boots basics eye makeup remover pads(sensitive/cucumber) have been discontinued.

So I've invested in some reusable pads but even Simple stings. I don't wan5 to change to a tubing mascara as I love my Benefit Bad Gal, but it takes a lot to get it off.

I use M&S Pure cleansing balm for the rest of my face but it seems to leave a film on my eyeballs iykwim?

Nowhere else is sensitive; the skin around my eye is fine (just old) it's just the stinging inside my eyes makes me want to claw them out

I was thinking about the ByTerry biphase as it's got rose oil in, which I love on my skin and I've got a travel size granite micellar to try out. Had to chuck my Bobbi Brown and Sisley samples as they didn't work out.

Simple is the only one I can use. It’s effective and gentle. Not the biphase one.

I only ever used to use the boots ones too as everything else stung like crazy! I’ve just bought this as a make up remover and it’s pretty good at getting eye make up off too and doesn’t sting

Baby lotion.Gets everything off without sting.Been using it for 20 years

I used nivea eye makeup remover in a bottle. No complaints.

Coconut oil!!!

I use body shops calamine eye make up remover. That and their calamine cleanser are the only things that don’t make my very sensitive eyes sting.

I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

I use Simple as well, just the plain old one. I've just bought Morrisons own make to try and it doesn't sting (yet) but some brands cause eczema after repeated use.
Liz Earle balm was good for me but eczema on my hands has stopped me getting my hands wet unnecessarily. Body Shop and Clinique balms left a film on my eyelids.

Brilliant stuff….takes off all makeup easily, with no skin problems.

Baby wet wipes, best thing and cheap.

Another vote for body shop camomile range, either the oil or the balm.

Coconut oil is a no go. Anything oily or balmy leaves a film. Can't bear it.

Just tried Drunk Elephant micellar as had a bottle knocking around. Didn't sting, but didn't get the eyeliner off either, and my eyes feel 'sticky' now.

The only cleanser I can use on my eyes is Dermalogica Ultra Calming cleanser. It's for skin that even finds water too stingy. It's not cheap - but it's worth it

In fact you can buy samples on eBay to try it out. I also find Simple etc leaves a film

I use olive oil. Best thing I ever tried!

Ponds cold cream or emollient cream, massaged in and then removed with wet muslin. The only things that don't make my eyes burn, moisturises the skin and gets every scrap of makeup off.

The only one I can use is the Clarins orange one step cleanser. I'm sure you can try it at the counter. It doesn't sting your eyes at all and takes off all mascara properly. I highly recommend it.

I’m amazed that Simple stings but fair enough OP. Micellar waters are too harsh for me to use on my eyes, and I’m with you on the oily ones too. I’ve used the Avene gentle one before and the Clinique Micellar gel cleanser too but the Simple one is better value for me.
I can’t use any of the biphase ones either as they’re normally too greasy too, maybe worth finding some to try at a counter before splashing out.

I have horrible allergies. I use hot water on microfibre facecloths for removing makeup I have recently learned that almost nobody is allergic to vaseline. I occasionally put a little on a cotton bud for particularly stubborn eye makeup. My eye make up is ground up minerals which I'm not allergic to.

I really dislike Simple products. The micellar water makes my eyes sting and their deodorant gives me a rash. I have never found an effective cleanser , eye cream or under-eye concealer that work well and don't sting my eyes, so I'm watching with interest.

Simple stings my skin. I love Nivea, no complaints. Tried Clinique too but Nivea does the job equally for a fraction of the price.

If you remove coconut oil with a hot flannel (not muslin) and only use a teaspoonful, it will not leave a film. And you will have to moisturise afterwards in fact. I hate having a greasy skin but coconut oil isn't greasy when I'm done with it.
