Which for an interview?

This is for a professional role (physiotherapist) but we wear a uniform so I don’t have a plethora of ‘work clothes’. We have been isolating due to covid until yesterday so I couldn’t go to the shops and the two pairs of trousers I ordered don’t fit right so I’m down to what I have!

Option 1:
Smart black jeans
Dark floral blouse
Tailored coat

Option 2:
Slim fitting black jumper
Dark leopard print long pleated skirt
Black boots and dark coat

Option 3:
Leather look leggings
Smart jumper
Boots

Please help me!

I’m nervous as DH has said no jeans no leopard no leather look leggings (kind of agree with last one although the overall look is smart).

Option 1 if the black jeans look like black cotton trousers, rather than jeans

saltedcaramelanything · 14/02/2022 18:52

Option 1

itwasntaparty · 14/02/2022 19:04
  1. Absolutely not 3!
DiscoBadgers · 14/02/2022 19:06

Option 2

Planetzero1 · 14/02/2022 19:13

No 1

GettingStuffed · 14/02/2022 19:14

Number 2

SamMil · 14/02/2022 19:16

Option 1. They'll be mainly looking at your top half so a blouse makes most sense.

MargotEmin · 14/02/2022 19:17

Smart black jeans, slim fitting black jumper

MadMadMadamMim · 14/02/2022 19:18

Option 2 unless 1 could be mistaken for trousers rather than jeans.

I don't think jeans say 'professional' in any way.

Loopytiles · 14/02/2022 19:20

Don’t think any of those are great options! Would do 1 if jeans are very dark and smart.

Not 3.

Shutupandcry · 14/02/2022 19:26

@Loopytiles I know none of them are ideal! I ordered some slim fitting black trousers but one pair are too long and one are too tight. I’m not that long past having DC2 so my old smart trousers won’t do up.

2 and definitely not 3

Shutupandcry · 14/02/2022 19:32

😂 ok no leather leggings I promise! I was clutching at straws!

BigFatBloomers · 14/02/2022 19:35

Option 2. Sounds like a great outfit

BitterTits · 14/02/2022 19:35

Could you borrow some trousers or just make do with the ones that don't fit right? Pop out and get some from a supermarket?.

Peppermint81 · 14/02/2022 19:37

1 if shirt covers jean pockets!
Def not 3

ChittyBangs · 14/02/2022 19:38

1, depending if they look like jeans or actual pants.

Do you not have any smart day dresses? Tights and shoes

Kshhuxnxk · 14/02/2022 19:43

Definately 2. No jeans - ever!

RestingStitchFace · 14/02/2022 19:47

Tbh, none are ideal. Is there no supermarket with a clothes section you can nip out to this evening? Or do you have a friend who could lend you something? Any smart, plain black/navy/grey trousers will do.

alisoninwonderland · 14/02/2022 19:50

Could you add photos? I'd say option 1 but it kind of depends on the exact look.
Whatever you wear, just try to be confident and yourself- that'll be all that matters! Good luck

Ikeameatballs · 14/02/2022 19:51

Option 2 sounds fine.

Shutupandcry · 14/02/2022 20:11

These are v similar to option 1 and 2 (2 is virtually spot on)

I would wear tights and black ankle boots with it though. And ankle boots with the jeans

Looking at the photos option 2
