What are your favourite Aldi dupe beauty buys?

I was looking at some of the Aldi beauty dupes I have today and the joy there is in some guilt free inexpensive luxuries. I accumulated quite a few buys the last year. I love the Peony and Blush Suede dupe perfume, smells so gorgeous and to be able to use it every day! I have a beauty box as well, there are some lovely bits there! I also love any of the Jo Malone candle dupes. What are the best Aldi dupes you've bought over the years?

@Positivelypatient That's the only problem isn't it, not being able to get the product when you need it.

Imabouttoexplode · 06/02/2022 09:18

Oh yes, the vitamin c serum is lovely too.

Prinnny · 06/02/2022 09:25

My faves have been the pixie toner dupe, the jo malone candles and diffusers and the black opium perfume dupe. All are just as good as the real thing for much less money!

I've learned to over buy when stuff is there!

Yep, think I'll be popping back tomorrow for more eye cream.

@LeQuern

Thing is, they are not dupes. They may have the same / similar ingredients but a) not in the same volume or quantities or b) the same quality. Look up Caroline Herons on the subject.
Well I can't afford £££ cosmetics so I'm happy dupes even exist!
JMAngel1 · 06/02/2022 11:15

Yes definitely annoying that they seem to be special buys for a short period only - you find a favourite and then can’t get it again.
I may have to get the LM creme brûlée bath dupe now someone upthread has said it’s good - very tempted.
My favourite if the hot cloth cleanser HA/algae cleanser but it’s not been available since mid last year. Hoping they release it again for Mother’s Day.
Which eye cream is everyone raving about?

NeedWineNow · 06/02/2022 13:35

The Lacura Rejuvelate day and night creams are one of the few moisturisers I have rebought. Fantastic value for money and comparable to my usual L'Oreal Revitalift.

I am using the Pineapple Hot Cloth cleanser which is also great and I will be repurchasing. I've got the Vitamin C one to try as well.

Love the Rose Oil (and this thread has reminded me that I need to get some more). I have the Q10 serum and whilst it's a good product I am not keen on the smell to be honest, so will stick to the Superdrug Pure which again is very good for very little money.

Billandben444 · 06/02/2022 15:18

I've given up on their Vit C serum - it leaves my skin very sticky.

Dankadanka · 07/02/2022 17:48

I use their Q10 serum (on recommendation from here) and it is excellent - matches even very expensive brands. I just massage it into my skin in the morning it lasts whole day and my skin feels fresh and plumped up.

mrssmiling · 08/02/2022 08:48

Like the hot cloth cleanser, and the cleansing balm is excellent - if in stock! The perfume dupes are in my branch at the moment - the white ones…I use the Lime and Basil which is great for daytime. The serums and facial oils are worth stocking up on - loved the recent Kiehl’s dupes.

Lipsandlashes · 08/02/2022 08:58

I’m absolutely loving their Korean skincare at the moment. I think I bought everything in the range. Also agree that the eyeshadow in the velvet packaging is brilliant.

ILookAtTheFloor · 08/02/2022 10:38

The Emma Hardie dupe that others have mentioned above is excellent but my fave of all time is the Caviar night cream, DH is always stealing it so he likes it too!

Sometimes it's sold out and I use the q10 one. That's passable but not a patch on the caviar.

Kranz78 · 08/02/2022 11:57

The Miracle Cream is great, like the 8 hour cream.

I mean that's more or less what a dupe is Confused
LifeInAHamsterWheel · 08/02/2022 12:05

The eyeshadow palettes (even the ones in the tin) are fantastic, a dupe for the Urban Decay ones and I honestly can't tell the difference!

They do a dupe of IT Cosmetics CC cream, which I do love but wish they had a better range of shades. I use no.2 and have to mix with a tiny bit of darker foundation to get the shade right, No. 3 is too orange. Still, even having to mix it slightly I'd repurchase as it is so good and fantastic value.

They do a dupe of Benefit mascara which I find excellent, also an eyebrow pencil though I'm not sure what it's a dupe of! I love it. Didn't get on with the brow gel though.

Face creams are hit and miss for me. I was quite allergic to the Caviar range and the Q10 even stung a bit. But I love the hot cloth cleanser and the cleansing balm and the pixi glow tonic dupe.

To be honest, for the prices I'd try all of them once! If you hit on something you love you really could save a small fortune Smile

HillofTara · 09/02/2022 09:23

I love the lacura caviar night cream (blue shiny box and blue glass jar). It's anti aging and has smoothed my skin so much over the last year. It's the only thing that has healed my acne scars on my cheeks from when I was a teenager (I had very severe acne). The only thing that matched it was Estee lauders night serum and that costs like a hundred quid so I'll stick to my aldi night cream for 6.99! It's also great as a make up primer to give your foundation a really smooth application and glowy finish!

ChicCroissant · 09/02/2022 09:34

@freckledsloth

The Lacura Pawpaw ointment and the Lacura intensive hand cream. Both excellent.
I've just started using that hand cream this week as my hands are really dry, DH picked it up for me and I really like it. I think it's a dupe of the Norwegian Hand Cream but I like the Lacura version better. Lovely stuff! Tempted to go and have a look at the makeup now ....
userxx · 09/02/2022 12:52

@ChicCroissant Be warned...... its all so tempting! Got Pawpaw on my list.

ChicCroissant · 09/02/2022 14:37

I've got the Revival eyeshadow palette, very nice! I'll see how long it lasts on me, if not my DD is always up for a bit more makeup.

LadyEloise1 · 09/02/2022 15:45

I live their Jo Malone candle dupe - Oud and Sandalwood.
I also buy their freesia and pear liquid soap.
However they rarely have then in my local Aldis, but have loads and loads of Pomegranate and Lime Basil and Mandarin - both I really dislike.

Trolltrotters · 09/02/2022 18:02

I love trying the Aldi dupes. Cheap enough to buy once and no great loss of it's not for you.

I like the hot cloth cleanser, tanning drops like tan a lux but costs around a fiver. Their Q10 stuff is brilliant. I'm using that up and have Q10+HA waiting unopened.

Not a fan of the candles though. The scent doesn't carry.

TabithaTittlemouse · 09/02/2022 18:03

@CythereaGraye

I love the cleansing balm - it's a dupe of the Emma Hardie one and actually I prefer the aldi one.
You star! I love EH so definitely going to look for this when I run out!
CythereaGraye · 09/02/2022 19:39

Tabitha you need to go now!
It's currently in stock but might not be back in again for ages. Worth a try for £6!

RachHen · 09/02/2022 19:41

We all know that the more expensive brands pay more for for example a metallic lid or advertising than Aldi
