Molke bras - what a revelation

I had a recent thread on here for comfy supportive bras for big boobs and was recommended Molke. I’ve resisted for a long time as I think they look a bit frumpy / shapeless and not a huge fan of the wacky prints, but finally tried one on the recommendations here.

Fuck me it’s amazing. I hadn’t realised how much my boobs move in bras before (I’ve been properly measured and have a million bras) but this is so soft and supportive, I can’t tell I am wearing a bra or even feel that I have boobs if that makes sense. They’re not sexy or give an amazing shape but brill for general wear around the house / dog walks etc.

Would really recommend to try them if you’ve been put off before!

Best bras I’ve ever tried. I’m narrow chested and big boobed. You don’t buy the likes of a 30HH bra cheap in the first place so Molke are no more expensive than other options. They are bright and colourful. Comfy. Supportive. UK made. The standard model avoids sweaty boobs cause the material folds around each boob. They are a little hard to get off if you aren’t flexible, and you may initially think it won’t fit but you need to scoop each boob into place and get them nestled in. They are game changing bras though!

triplechoc · 28/01/2022 19:54

I bought my first ones over Christmas, and love them. The patterns are not particularly my style, but my goodness the comfort!

I’m a JJ cup, the bras I got are level 3 support, and they literally lift me from hanging at waist level, to looking normal.

My boobs look better than they have in years, having wasted an eye-watering amount of money on different underwired bras in an attempt to look half-decent, and ending up with quad-boob/gouged shoulders/stabbed in the armpit.

The only way I’ll be wearing an underwire again will be if an outfit cannot accommodate a Molke, but I never wear strappy clothing anyway, so won’t be an issue very often! I just wish they had a wider range of colours/patterns in the level 3 fabric, especially a lighter one.

The Nova bra by Bravissimo is a similar sort of affair but has a proper back fastening and looks slightly more delicate. I find it gives me a good shape.

I had heard good things about Molke but the pictures on the website put me off.

I tried this today also and really didn’t like it, it seems to lack shape so the breast tissue is all pushed out to the sides rather than in front, giving a really odd shape

The fitter did say the Nova didn’t suit everyone; I must be blessed with the right sort of norks for the first time in my life.

Angrywife · 28/01/2022 22:30

I tried both the classic and the new style but returned them. Not a fan of the monoboob and there's much cheaper options if I do want to go for that look

CatJumperTwat · 28/01/2022 22:45

I find them awful. Ugly both off and on, don't give a nice shape, uncomfortable, and expensive... no redeeming features.

LeQuern · 28/01/2022 22:55

Do they ‘lift and separate’? Give decent shape? I’m a fan of an underwire so am sceptical.

CatJumperTwat · 28/01/2022 23:17

No, they don't lift and they definitely don't give shape. They do separate though.

ofwarren · 28/01/2022 23:28

They do lift! I'm a 36 G and my boobs are round my waist if I have no bra on. The original molke makes my boobs rounded and lifts them up.
LeQuern · 29/01/2022 00:20

Hmmm I’m a 32ff. Not sure they’re for me (and the idea of a unicorn bra does not appeal).

KimikosNightmare · 29/01/2022 01:30

@Porridgeislife

I’m a 28F and bought one out of morbid curiosity. I have both hips and shoulders and there was no earthly way to get it off over either. I ended up lying on the bed and wrestling my way out of it. Nobody has time for nonsense like that.

Plus they are ugly as sin and gave me quite a droopy shape.

I'm sorry, but the comments just get worse and worse and yours made me burst out laughing.

Molke bras have been discussed a few times on the Feminist boards and posters seem to like them. Personally I think they're hideous.

randomsabreuse · 29/01/2022 06:36

The bras I was stuck with growing up were hideous. Nude or white, full cup with scratchy lace. Check out most of the offerings in a K cup and they're hideous too, minimal colour choices and gore nearly up to the chin...

Molke lift me well. They don't separate me but neither do any wired bras that don't have the core sat on breast tissue, plus separation on my narrow chest looks odd and has boobs under arms instead. All boobs are different...

For me they feel cheap because I haven't bought a bra for less than £25 in 25 years and my main option is Ewa Michelak which is at least £50 which I am not spending while maintaining the delusion that I'm going to lose some weight and it might even come off my boobs.

KatharinaRosalie · 29/01/2022 07:10

I like the Nova, have it in 2 colours, but it is quite soft, so no lift really. Molke keeps my boobs a lot higher.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 29/01/2022 07:25

I’ve looked at their bras before and could almost feel the under boob sweat starting. They are so thick on the shoulders, they don’t look nice.

I’m afraid I’m another who dislikes the models they use. I’m not slim and have plenty of my own cellulite, I don’t need to see other peoples wobbles when buying underwear. They look to me like they target women who have given up. Although MaybeHeIsMyCat is a fantastic ambassador for the bras and should definitely model for them.

I want a bra that lifts, not a bra that gives me droop.

ExtremelyDetermined · 29/01/2022 07:30

They definitely don't lift me, give me a really unflattering outline. I bought mine for doing yoga and it's ok for that as it does keep everything in place during downward dog and thick bright straps don't look out of place with gym clothes but I only wore it a few times I found it so uncomfy and unattractive.

Pyri · 29/01/2022 08:30

Yeah they definitely don’t give you the ultimate round boob shape, lifting them and making everything look really perky

But for me, they do lift in a way that makes me feel supported and I don’t mind the thick straps etc if I’m wearing layers over the top

I doubt I’ll be wearing it underneath a strappy summer dress but for January, it’s pretty good!

OP posts:
randomsabreuse · 29/01/2022 09:11

This is lift. Possibly more than is convenient a lot of the time.

Wouldn't get more separation in a normal bra because of my shape and I don't get lift/support...

JakeyRolling · 29/01/2022 10:10

Like the Molke style hate actual Molke as not supportive at all.

Hiccups and Juice is a similar vibe but far better made with a wider range of fabrics plus option of a "power layer"

Only downs side is she's a one-woman band so there's a long wait time

JakeyRolling · 29/01/2022 10:21

I think those saying they are fugly kinda miss the point.

We are so conditioned to have or boobs hoiked to our ears because a patriarchal society tells us that's where they should be.

If you were doing something for you and only you would you choose comfort or style?

Me, I've stopped giving a dog about what people think of how I dress and I am much more comfortable for it.

Classicblunder · 29/01/2022 10:24

I really like them and find them very supportive for big boobs.

Personal taste obviously but I don't find them ugly either - maybe not actively sexy but not offputtingly fugly

Bagelsandbrie · 29/01/2022 10:27

I really like them and think they give a good shape but I find them impossible to take off. I can get them on by stepping into them and pulling them up but I just find them so difficult to pull off I found myself not wanting to wear them anymore.

Oddly enough even though it’s a wired bra I really like Fantasie illusion bras for day to day wear. They’re so flexible and comfortable I barely notice I’m wearing one - and I’m the type of person that whips my bra off as soon as I’m home. (30GG).

CatJumperTwat · 29/01/2022 10:35

ofwarren They'll obviously prevent breasts falling to your knees but that isn't what I call lift!

KimikosNightmare · 29/01/2022 10:39

I'm saying they are ugly because they are. Many of the patterns are twee and childish. There is so much material there - the thick straps particularly the odd folded almost ruched effect at the front, makes them look very unattractive.

You look fine in the picture without your top.

In the one with your top on it does rather look (as another poster said, although she was defending Molke) "boobs hoiked to our ears" . The lift is too high.
