Molke bras - what a revelation

I had a recent thread on here for comfy supportive bras for big boobs and was recommended Molke. I’ve resisted for a long time as I think they look a bit frumpy / shapeless and not a huge fan of the wacky prints, but finally tried one on the recommendations here.

Fuck me it’s amazing. I hadn’t realised how much my boobs move in bras before (I’ve been properly measured and have a million bras) but this is so soft and supportive, I can’t tell I am wearing a bra or even feel that I have boobs if that makes sense. They’re not sexy or give an amazing shape but brill for general wear around the house / dog walks etc.

Would really recommend to try them if you’ve been put off before!

Oh blimey, they are some fugly looking objects. I could only countenance the plain black one and only then very much as a sleep (alone) bra.

Craftycorvid · 27/01/2022 22:46

Getting them on: immensely sexy move reminiscent of Les Dawson’s ‘Cissie and Ada’ whereby you scoop up one nork at a time and tuck it in. Getting them off: you get used to it. I pull them over my head like a crop top. After they’ve been laundered a few times, they relax a bit.

DillDanding · 27/01/2022 22:48

Just googled. I hope they're comfy as they are fugly.

EmmaH2022 · 27/01/2022 23:07

@sofiathe2nd

They don't have any fastenings but to provide enough support they're not hugely stretchy and fit snugly. If, like me, you aren't very flexible but are big boobed, and sadly barrel shaped it's really hard to pull them off either upwards (boobs and back in way) or down (hips and shoulders)
Oh I see
UnicornsReal · 27/01/2022 23:10

@ExtremelyDetermined

There's just not enough stretch in the band for getting them off. I have some stretchy but firm crop tops from a supermarket that give easily as good hold and support (F cup) but stretch far better and are so easy to get on and off, comfier too.
Which supermarket please?
DockOTheBay · 27/01/2022 23:11

@RelentlessForwardProgress

Good Lord! Why do they look like that? I've got high impact sports bras I use to run in that look more attractive than that. Just why?
I guess that's why they're comfy. Substance over style.

I tried them out because I needed breastfeeding bras. They’re all ugly anyway. 🤣

But the size that supposedly fits my bra size would not fit any anatomically normal human woman.

Annonnimoouse42 · 27/01/2022 23:17

well, those website pictures haven't tempted me. bad enough looking at my own arse in the mirror without dealing with theirs

EllaMinnowPee · 27/01/2022 23:23

They're the Bra equivalent of Snag tights. Ultra woke and seem to be aimed at plus sized women. Took me a while to realise they weren't but their advertising would make you think differently

And nothing wrong with that of course but it's a bit of an own goal

AngelaChasesBestLife · 27/01/2022 23:27

I wanted to love these so much but my god I don't know what body type you have to have to be able to wear them. Getting your arms through the holes is next to impossible and the backs ride up. I had to try three different sizes despite using their size guide and on each one had the same issue with the getting it on and off as the arm holes are so small. The back seems to be the same across the sizes so going up a size made no difference to the fit. I wanted something comfy for breast feeding but they are so painful to wear. My tits went one way and the back of the bra the other. It was just agony. I'm getting rid of mine after literally a couple of wears. Such a waste of money.
Their customer service is very good though.

They are neither stylish nor beautiful so maybe this is in the wrong section?! Ugly, sorry 😞

They are neither stylish nor beautiful, you are correct

But my god they are comfy

But you can wear then underneath stylish things. That's really the point of underwear!

I think I look quite nice in mine anyway, so nerr Wink. In the eye of the beholder and all that. I have a set with unicorns on it 🤣

They are a bit super woke. But I quite like that. Their models are a lot bigger than me just like and some are wheelchair users when I am not or have other disabilities that I don't have. But that doesn't put me off buying there. Weird that it would anyone tbh, but I know there's a faction on mumsnet who just "cannot UNDERSTAND" why shops don't just use 7 foot tall people who weigh eight stone like in the good old days

JessicaJacket · 28/01/2022 08:09

"Glorifying obesity harrumph it has to stop! Glorify being dangerously underweight instead please and thank you"

And before anyone asks, no I'm not obese myself

KatharinaRosalie · 28/01/2022 09:35

I find them very comfortable and they look fine. Not sexy no, but that's not their aim either. I pull them on over the hips. I wear size small and I'm quite sure I'm anatomically relatively normal.

Only thing I have issues with are the seams that are bulky and raised, and they dig in - so I often wear the bras inside out.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 28/01/2022 09:41

I thought the boobs are meant to be separate with the gore in the middle.

They just look like bikini tops that give you sweaty cleavages. I hate it when my boobs rub together.

ofwarren · 28/01/2022 09:46

I have just bought my second one yesterday's after loving the first one I got last week.
I'm autistic and HATE sweaty boobs but I don't get that with them. If you get one that has decent sized cups, the material sits in between your boobs a bit.
I even slept in mine and that's not something I usually do because it's uncomfortable.
As for not being stylish or beautiful, there are some god awful pieces of clothing recommended on here. We all like something different. I think my Molkes are beautiful!

Enko · 28/01/2022 09:54

I had a quick look and went of the page again I wear a lot of light or neutral colours and I really hate not being able to buy bras that works with this. Clearly this brand is a no go for that.

astorsback · 28/01/2022 09:59

Dear god, they're ugly and their models look terrible. The bras being worn are all bunched up in the majority of cases.

These are the 'Toast' dresses of the underwear world.

I much orefer my Sloggi wireless bras.

randomsabreuse · 28/01/2022 10:06

Pink works well under pale colours. Better than white and I can't get a nude match.

They work for me but I'm a very small ribcage with big boobs and really can't get normal bras in my size. The also work for a close friend of mine with a similar but less extreme build (I'm a 28K).

They work under some clothes, the shape is way better than many of my underwired bras (which are generally fugly once you get above a H cup)

I doubt that Molke would appeal to someone with boobs that fit in the generally available sizes - if you're less than an E (traditional measure) or GG (BoB) you'll likely find a nice pretty traditional underwired bra if you get your size right.

That’s really great for you, but the sloggi bras either stop at cup size C or a few go up to DD/E. Those with bigger chests need options too!

Thanks for this @ofwarren I hate sweaty boobs as well and always get it from non wired bras, I'm going to give them a go!
Whatiswrongwithmyknee · 28/01/2022 10:26

Do they actually give any support for larger breasts? The website pictures don't look like they do.

Snoozeee · 28/01/2022 10:27

Are they padded?

Porridgeislife · 28/01/2022 10:28

I’m a 28F and bought one out of morbid curiosity. I have both hips and shoulders and there was no earthly way to get it off over either. I ended up lying on the bed and wrestling my way out of it. Nobody has time for nonsense like that.

Plus they are ugly as sin and gave me quite a droopy shape.
