I like the no7 remover in a blue bottle, soak a cotton pad and rub gently on the eyes - brilloanr on my stubborn mascara!

apinions · 12/01/2022 17:49

I rate simple eye make up remover.

Fandangoes · 12/01/2022 17:51

I just came on to say Simple too. The original eye make-up remover that is very watery, not the one they brought out later that has a more oily consistency.

TottiePlantagenet · 12/01/2022 17:53

My go to is Lancôme bi-facil. But pricey.

My cheaper alternative is a Garnier purple one, "essentials 2 in 1".

mangosparkle · 12/01/2022 17:54

Nivea double effect eye make up remover. Cuts through my waterproof mascara no problem in a single application. Life changing!

ParkingDiagram · 12/01/2022 17:55

Simple micellar water.

QueenJeanie · 12/01/2022 17:56

Lancôme Bi facil

I think I've tried about a dozen others and although it's pricey it does the job every time

hamsterchump · 12/01/2022 17:59

Baby oil is my favourite. I find micellar water stings my eyes and dries my skin out.

Yes this. Cheap, usually on offer in boots and really good. It's gentle too.
Westerman · 12/01/2022 18:05

I use a cleansing oil. Takes off eye make up and works really well as a general cleanser. I massage it in then add water and it turns to a milky type liquid, then rinse off.
Alternatively, Erase Your Face cloths work really well, too. You only need water; no other cleanser.

I second this, it's fantastic and I've tried many many eye make up removers across many budgets.
DirtyDancing · 12/01/2022 18:09

Body shop camomile. It's so gentle on eyes but removes waterproof easily

Just added to Waitrose shopping delivery, it's on offer too!
FatimaLovesBread · 12/01/2022 18:18

Niven double effect or clarins instants eye make up remover

LovelyYellowLabrador · 12/01/2022 18:19

Thanks for your advice
I don’t mind paying out as I can get quite sore eyes easily
So I’m going to try the Lancôme one first
Thank you

Agreed. I wear waterproof mascara and this gets it off easily.
helenabonhamfarter · 12/01/2022 19:03

Yep Nivea and I have spent £££ on others

Teadrinker11 · 12/01/2022 19:07

I have Garnier Miscellar water in the green bottle. Cheap and does the job and easy to use. Clinique Take the Day Off is fabulous, expensive but you get what you pay for.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 12/01/2022 19:09

Nivea double effect. No contest. Always stick up when it is on offer, frequently half price.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 12/01/2022 19:09

*stock not stick

MrsW85 · 12/01/2022 19:12

I use either the elemis cleansing oil or the cleansing balm to take all my makeup up off. The oil feels so nice on my skin and neither give me that horrible tight feeling. I wear contact lenses and the balm leaves a film like feeling over them so I always have the take them out before using it whereas the oil doesn't and I can leave them in. Again not cheap, but I couldn't use anything else now.

BruceBogtrottersWife · 12/01/2022 19:42

I use coconut oil. Kind to eyes and cuts through every form of make up.

longtompot · 12/01/2022 20:07

Lancôme bi facial was my favourite, and still would be if I could afford it. A close second is Nivea double effects. Both work extremely well and don't sting meh eyes. Plus, I don't have any residue left on my eyes in the morning even when I think I have cleaned it all off as has happened with other removers.

Kjr33 · 12/01/2022 21:17

If you get sore eyes it might be worth trying something that doesn’t involve rubbing and wiping with cotton wool, I really like the ordinary squaline cleanser. It’s a balm that you rub onto dry skin then add a little water to emulsify it then rinse it off, much more gentle and very effective make up remover.
