What colours and flowers to wear with silver wedding dress in May?

I think I have chosen a dress... but I do NOT want to wear big black chunky shoes on my wedding day, as in these photos, even though they look quite cool.

I am going being between dark green and royal-ish blue for shoes, hmm. But what about flowers?? And would a silver headpiece now look way over the top if already wearing a silver dress. Ugh my cluelessness. Please help!

What about lilac and purple coloured flowers and purple shoes?

Definitely freesias! My absolute favourite flowers. Lilacs, pinks, whites, yellows and even reds. Beautiful flowers, they are.

I would go with pinks /purples.

Hydrangeas in a greeny-white. And any colour shoes you like. A silvery headband would look lovely.

I’d personally choose hot pink shoes and flowers.
I always find shoes hard to buy so I’d get those first and choose flower colours later.

Blue shoes, silver headband, purple flowers. Agree that freesias would be good - they smell divine! (But not yellow ones)

Love the dress... you could go with a very strong colour like red. Just googled this and come up with this photo, pair with red flowers?

See I would go dark green shoes and a mainly foliage bouquet (eucalyptus etc.)

I’d go for blush pink sandals myself, and copy the colour into the flowers, and I’d maybe do a diamanté delicate head dress.

I love the dress! You could go for green and various white flowers and brown shoes for more natural look.

My first thought was purples, blues and lilacs for the flowers. I would leave the head dress, or maybe a different colour from silver, but whatever you choose will be great! All that matters is that you like it and feel comfortable 😍

Depends on the overall vibe of the wedding. What kind of setting etc?

Eg if it’s going to be a seaside or outdoorsy sort of thing I think a gorgeous sea glass sort of misty light green-grey (like the colour of aquamarine gems) would look stunning maybe with the hydrangeas a PP suggested. Or some pale blue/green/white flowers.

On the other hand I love a bold colour and a bold hot pink would also look cool especially in a more glitzy indoor setting.

Also yes to a headdress OR shoes in silver as alternative. I’d be tempted by silver shoes and then fresh pale flowers as a bouquet and a headpiece.

Oh if you’re a redhead then definitively an emerald or eucalyptus or aquamarine - or alternatively a rich dark blue.

Oh, and thank you to those saying they love the dress! I'm going to be renting it, so still have to try it on - it's coming end of Jan for a trial.

I like the leafy headpiece! If you don’t want a circlet you can also get a florist to make you a piece or pieces to clip in (you buy a plain hair clip and they put flowers etc on it to go with your bouquet).

It's going to be a small ceremony at our lovely city town hall, with my toddler as flower girl.

We're having a separate party for friends in a completely different month which will be much more festival vibe.

So maybe...silver shoes, eucalyptus/leafy headpiece and bouquet.

OR dark green shoes, eucalyptus bouquet and silver headband of some kind. (Not that starry one I posted, too much)

The hairclips you can get a florist to do are a bit like this one but with real foliage/flowers. you can get one for the back or one on each side kind of thing.

It all looks lovely. Eucalyptus is a good call, maybe with some Cerinthe and some white flowers.

Aside from Gold and white you can more or less put any colour with silver. With it being in May I’d go with a pastel colour.
Mint, peach, pink. Lemon.

I still don't know what colour shoes to get if I'm having a mainly eucalyptus bouquet! And they need to be closed toe, so alas not delicate wee sandals...

Eucalyptus in bouquet and as a fairly heavy/wide head circlet. You could have white lisianthus, lily of the valley and freesia in your bouquet.
