These boots go with so many things despite the slightly unusual beige colour.

@KiteflyingKitty I think the balloon jeans suit you too. Seeing them on here has made me want some!

@EllaPaella you always look so stunning and well put together.

I have just received this dress today but I'm not sure if it's frumpy. Thinking unbutton it a little and wear with chunky black boots. The belt is mine just to see if it looked better belted. I do like the style but I'm not sure it suits me. I'm 5 foot 6 but maybe I need a couple extra inches to pull it off! Any advice would be appreciated. I usually go for a jumpsuit or jeans and shirts and avoid dresses!

@stylemebetter - thank you so much for the lovely compliment
That's a lovely dress, can we see it without the belt? It will look lovely with a biker or black longer line blazer and some nice chunky sole black boots.

Ooh I really like that dress @stylemebetter. I’m the same height as you. I would wear it unbelted probably, or maybe with a wider belt - one of those kimono ones you tie at the front or side might work? Can’t remember what you call them (obi belt?)

stylemebetter · 11/02/2022 16:55

Thanks @ellapaella here is a photo of it online without a belt. I won't have chance to take a photo sans belt now as DC1 is home and they need watching like a hawk as severely Autistic. I was going to try a tan belt but couldn't find it. Think not wearing a belt is better as we will be eating out. I don't actually have a black blazer but it's raining and windy where we are going so I might just need to wear a practical coat and remove it when inside!

Thank you @Purplecatshopaholic, we cross posted as I lost mine so had to retype! I like the idea of wafting around in a dress but I don't normally embrace my feminine side, think I should do it more though!

Pigtailsandall · 11/02/2022 17:16

@KiteflyingKitty I agree, the jeans look good on you! I have them too and they are comfy!

@Sooverthemill you are so talented. I think you could do knitting professionally!

@toastfiend keep the dress! It's lovely!

@Chrispackhamspoodle I love the black jumpsuit. Totally what I'd wear.

I am working through wearing clothes I've not worn in over a year. Really they should all go, but I love this denim shirt. I bought it from Express in NY with my mum like ten years ago. I think the problem is that I don't really know how to wear it. I love denim tops, but they are too casual for work, and off-duty I mainly wear jeans and I'm not personally keen on double-denim. Any ideas on how to style them?

Oh forgot to say that @EllaPaella I don't think I've seen you wear anything that I don't like. I'd copy all your styles.

EnoBaby · 11/02/2022 17:21

Loving all the outfits today and yesterday!
@KiteflyingKitty your skirt is lovely.
@EllaPaella you look fantastic as always. How are you feeling? I slept for 10 hours without stirring last night!
@toastfiend that dress! Absolutely exquisite on you.
@stylemebetter your new dress is a winner!

Had a good 7 inches taken off my hair today so I’m feeling great.
Jacket - Mint Velvet
Tee - Oasis
Trousers - M&S
Boots - DMs

Thank you @Pigtailsandall 😊
@EnoBaby today has been a good day! Had a lovely walk with my dog on the beach this morning and it was just so good to be out in the cold fresh air. My muscles aren't as sore (maybe because I've been moving around a bit more today) and so far I am not feeling the need to go lie down. Success! I have been off all week though and I think I really needed this second week to just take it easy, I hope you can have a relaxing weekend and just stay in bed as much as you need to.

On the down side my DH has come home from work saying he feels under the weather and gone to lie down.... please please don't let this be covid now...

@toastfiend adore the dress, you have to keep it. There is something very Molly Ringwold in Pretty in Pink about it.

@KiteflyingKitty great whistles skirt, that will be lovely in the summer too.

@Sooverthemill another pretty jumper, those colours are great on you - love all the books and shelves too, looks like a lovely relaxing room.

@Chrispackhamspoodle you look very chic, the navy scarf and coat is a really good look.

Have repurposed this dress I bought last Summer by adding a roll neck- it’s actually a bit too heavy for Summer and not warm enough for Winter but the roll neck has kept me warm at work today. I might try it with a jumper over the top so it looks like a skirt too.

Dress - Mint Velvet
Roll neck - Benetton
Belt -Mint Velvet
Boots - Marco Tozzi

You can all help me trouser 1 that fit my waist but think they could do with being loser on the hip

Sickoffamilydrama · 11/02/2022 19:07

Trousers 2 that will need taking in on the waist and weirdly the leg length but better on the hips.

I think I get these adjusted by a dress maker

You really suit that style of trouser @Sickoffamilydrama, I think number 2 as well, once you have them adjusted at the waist you probably won’t need too much off the length.

Chrispackhamspoodle · 11/02/2022 19:24

Yes trouser 2 @Sickoffamilydrama.They really suit you.
@MargotLB I'm going to be putting my black polo underneath all my dresses next week.

EllaPaella · 11/02/2022 19:25

Those trousers are fab @Sickoffamilydrama

Thanks all I thought so to but then doubted myself 🤣

EllaPaella · 11/02/2022 21:51

@Pigtailsandall never get rid of a denim shirt, they are a wardrobe staple! I wear mine with black hush harems,my black wide leg crop trousers, black jersey wide leg trousers, black coated jeans or over a long black maxi dress.

Shannith · 12/02/2022 00:20

Lots of fab outfits - a few from this week. And tonight. Only one is for an 80s dinner party!

Jumper (DDs) hollister
Rah rah skit - oasis
Leggings - DDs (possibly Nike)
Socks as leg warmers - charity
Trainers - Nike
Fake perm - via some random curling tong I found at the back of a cupboard

Coat - it's vintage Stephen Marks and I'd never have bought it but it was £1 and it's rather fabulous. I wore it to walk the dog (because why not) and got 2 compliments from old ladies in the village Grin

T-shirt - H&M
Skirt - M&S

Both £1 as well. Local shop was having a clear out and had a £1 rail.
