@Justonedayatatime11 do you love the boots? Do they make you feel happy and confident when you put them on? If yes, keep. But if there is a niggle of doubt then maybe return. They are nice boots but look like they end right on the bendy part of your knee so I guess it also depends on how comfortable they are and how often you will wear them. They certainly don't look ridiculous though.

@MargotLB Lovely trousers. Great colour. I always feel like I want to wear colourful bottoms but never do

@Justonedayatatime11 I feel like you need to love something as expensive as those boots. Good enough is not enough! You should definitely have that joy spark, even though I'm not a Kondo follower..

Today's outfit was for sitting at home - but the noteworthy item is a t-shirt I thrifted in San Francisco 17 years ago. 17! I found it with my maternity clothes and had to wear it.

@Justonedayatatime11 I'm not sure about the boots. They seem a tad high on your leg. Do you want boots you can tuck jeans into?

@Pigtailsandall it’s funny they came in a pink colour too which I loved but they looked awful on me when I tried them on, funny that the green looked so much better. I bought them for spring not really thinking I could wear them in winter but actually I can with a jumper and Chelsea boots and I have a leather biker to go over the top.

Thanks all. I actually don't love them as much as I should for £450 . I think they'll be going back sadly. I am very out of style as I still love jeans tucked into boots, but these feel more like waders and seem to have far too much excess material in them!

@Justonedayatatime11 you often wear jeans over boots and I think I’ve preferred all of your other boots. They look a bit all and I’m not keen on the shape of the bottom part. They don’t look stupid at all but I think for that money they’d have to be perfect.

@Justonedayatatime11 if you like jeans tucked into boots , go for it! But £450 and I'd want utter perfection.

The trousers are so comfy. They are kind of jogger-style walking trousers but a bit more fashionable than normal hiking trousers & feel a bit smarter than normal joggers

@KiteflyingKitty have your skinny trousers bobbled or are they ok? I’ve read mixed reviews.

@Justonedayatatime11 the boots are very nice, but if you're not sure I'd send them back. I think they need to be perfect for that kind of money. I did consider them but I'm just not sure when I'd wear them and I don't love the way they seem to sag a bit when people sit down in them - based on pics from the FB group, anyway! Hope your DD is doing OK.

I'm super casual today. Work is busy so I've had a few pretty late nights and feeling quite weary.

This dress also arrived from Anthropologie. I quite like it. I had a code so it was a bit of a bargain as, with the code, it was £45 ish reduced from £170. DH's job means that when Covid isn't a thing I do get reasonably frequent excuses to get dressed up so I often keep an eye out for bargain formal wear, especially as most of my existing stuff is too big or too small these days. I think I could dress it down a bit, too. Sizing is a bit off, though. I sized down to a 10 and it's still big. Wondering if it's worth seeing if I can have the bodice taken in a bit (local tailor is extremely reasonably priced!) or not... All opinions welcome!
