@EllaPaella hope the DC’s are ok and you manage to avoid it.

I was in the car and tried not to read too much.

@WestrayWife gets all the crafty activities out or playdoh and leave Dh to it 😆

I need to Google the body shapes. I believe I am an inverted triangle. Although after trying on jeans yesterday I am feeling pretty hefty!

WestrayWife · 30/01/2022 16:55

DH has learnt a very important lesson today in thinking through the consequences of his actions Grin The DC not so much GrinGrin

EllaPaella · 30/01/2022 22:18

Thank you @Softpebbles
Youngest ds has tested positive- I knew he would as he has had almost classic symptoms- temperature, headache and saying every part of him hurts even his hair, bless him. 11 year old had negative pcr even though he had a positive LF yesterday- he has very mild symptoms anyway. Guess that's us under house arrest for a while, I just hope poor ds feels better soon. He's been sleeping in with me as he has had a temperature I can't get down so I guess there's a good chance that I won't avoid it either.

@EllaPaella sorry to hear that. My youngest had it last week and amazingly none of the rest of us caught it so fingers crossed you might escape.

EllaPaella · 30/01/2022 23:00

I hope so @MargotLB hope your dc is better now too

Shannith · 31/01/2022 07:49

So speedy! I can't keep up.

@EnoBaby loving the leopard print look and @MargotLB I really like that green blouse.

@EllaPaella hope the DC feel better. DD has just had it and was only poorly for a day or two. Still a very very faint positive 9 days in. I've swerved it amazingly.

@WestrayWife your going out outfit is stunning. Those trousers are perfect and the shirt. Lovely.

@CaterpillaNavilla I love Maeve and you channel her perfectly!

@Sickoffamilydrama I've just done the kibble test and I'm dramatic which means I would go tailored and monochrome. Which is interesting as it's what I go for to feel safe/smart and I always fell like I'm cheating somehow. Crazy female guilt at what? Trying too hard?

Lunacy.

Still the breaking rules with an excellent £1 find - a pack a mack. Very useful indeed.

And another £1 white stuff blazer which is actually a lovely shade of blue and lovely quality.

Top is Hobbs

Black skinnies ( a staple here @Sooverthemill) Oasis

Thank you for the feedback. I’m keeping the skinny jeans because they are so comfortable and feel like a basic. The Sézane ones look better imo in real life than in my crappy photos. I’ve put 4 pairs of jeans to eBay today including a brand new but missed the return window Everlane pair of way high pale indigo s26. If anyone wants them let me know. They are fab but identical to my Levi ribcage . £60 plus postage ( Black Friday sale price)
So we went out and it was nice to have fresh air. Very weird wearing a mask I’m not used to it ( everywhere here is asking people to and I don’t mind)
@EllaPaella hope both DS are okay and you avoid it. Still a worry isn’t it?

Also going through my sweatshirts as I have a lot! This one feels so soft and comfy but I’ve hardly worn it since buying. Wearing today to decide
Sweatshirt: Boden
Jeans: MIH
shoes: R&B
Tee under: madewell hope DS

Should have been your not you’re in that last post!

Sooverthemill · 31/01/2022 09:26

@MargotLB love that outfit, I really like the brand I have 2 or 3 things from them

Shannith · 31/01/2022 10:04

@MargotLB that's a great outfit

I'm dressed like a scruff today - opposite of my occasional corporate forays

Scarf - Steve Madden
Jacket - asos
Jumper - Hobbs
Jeans - river island
converse

All charity (obviously) bar the jacket. I'm actually in the process of testing to see if I can set up an Etsy shop to resell the vintage/antique things I find in charity shops. I've developed a good "eye" and regularly find things that are worth ££££ for buttons. Not clothes as I don't think there's much profit to be made. Actual antiques/vintage homeware. We'll see!

Sorry to hear about DS @EllaPaella. Hope you all avoid it. None of us caught it from DS last week and despite my best intentions we weren't great at distancing, it's so hard when they're poorly (and also when they're better but bored!)

I absolutely love your outfit today @MargotLB , and also your sweatshirt @Sooverthemill

Felt like wearing my favourite dress today Smile

Dress - mint velvet
Cardigan - M&S

Shannith · 31/01/2022 13:51

@Sooverthemill definitely keep that sweatshirt. It's beautiful and a really lovely colour on you. And it feels soft! Sounds perfect to me.

WestrayWife · 31/01/2022 14:03

Sorry to hear about all the poorly DC Flowers we're all on daily LFTs here due to multiple close contacts who are all positive. Feels like only a matter of time now...

Dress/Tunic - Next (old)
Thermal leggings - M&S
Boots - Oliver Bonas

I feel like a completely different person post hair cut / eyebrows / slap dash fake tan at the weekend Grin we'll see how long it lasts!! Had an online shopping splurge last night....whistles, me&em, & other stories....can't possibly keep it all but looking forward to trying everything on.

EnoBaby · 31/01/2022 14:14

I’ve tested positive today, which I’m gutted about as was so looking forward to the week ahead 😞 (and wearing new Anthropologie skirt!)
My littlest is really poorly too so suspect she has it but daren’t try to test her as she’s so unhappy, poor baby.

So back in my Hollister checked trouser and a random camel jumper for comfort.

Gorgeous outfit @MargotLB and living the sweatshirt @Sooverthemill

Sooverthemill · 31/01/2022 14:29

@EnoBaby I'm sorry you have it and your baby too. It's horrible when little memes are ill.

Thank you for the sweatshirt love! I do like it and had decided I was keeping it. My DD said it was very trendy ( though as she hasn't left her bedroom apart from hospital for 8+ years I do t entirely trust her judgment!)

EllaPaella · 31/01/2022 15:30

@MargotLB love your outfit today. I hadn't heard of Grace & Lila until they started selling in on my favourite local boutiques. I have a couple of their lovely T shirts.
@EnoBaby oh no, hope you feel better soon and baby Enobaby, horrible when little ones are poorly and they can't tell you how they feel.
DH and I had to manage working from home, and dog walks between us today. Been a bit hectic to be honest.
Jeans M&S, boots Primark, jumper Arket, Coat Newlook

Pressed post too soon

  • Banana Republic jumper
  • Sainsburys jeans
  • Ash high tops
  • Cardigan from random local shop

Think my grey or silver high tops would look better but they had dirty soles so I put these on for standing on the carpet

OublietteBravo · 31/01/2022 18:09

I’ve been in the office today, and now I have (virtual) parents evening for DS. Who had a mixed bag of GCSE mock results.

Jumper: Jigsaw
Skirt: White Stuff
Boots: Doc Martens

Nice outfit @EnoBaby just gone and looked at their shop.

Great dress @PalacePaper

You suit short dresses/tunics @WestrayWife your outfit looks nice.

Nice dress @OublietteBravo don't get me worried about GCSEs DD is year 11 she's very capable but needs a bit of a push at the moment she's getting nervous/overwhelmed then leaving everything to the last minute.

Love the red @KiteflyingKitty

Very casual outfit as stuck with DS still and trying to juggle some work, I managed to do quite a lot after DH came home & in between playing with him.
Jumper M&S
Joggers M&S
Boots Ecco

Look what I found today. It's giving me Margo vibes. I shall waft around my cottage garden. I've been wafting round the house. DD is looking at me strangely.
