@toastfiend I love that jumper (& my house is freezing so I would wear it loads )

But I do know what you mean about wearing baggy on top & bottom half - I think it can be done but needs to be styled right. I find it easier to style an oversized top with baggier trousers if I can tuck it in, which can be difficult with a very chunky jumper

I've reverted to jeans today so feeling very annoyed with myself . But feeling rather rubbish and they're comfy and don't make me feel self conscious!

The long cardigan looks fab over your outfit; love it.
I’m a fan of oversized jumpers with mom/balloon jeans, but I think lots of people find it repellant 😆

I like the jumper @toastfiend and it still looks good with the blue jeans, have you tried it with black jeans, that might be nice too. In saying that if it doesn’t make you happy sell it and put the proceeds towards something that does. Easier said than done I know!

@toastfiend I live the jumper! What about with ‘leather’ leggings. I know what you mean about things being too warm though. I suffer with hot flushes terribly and have had to take my cardi off a few times today as it’s chunky. It probably wasn’t a good buy.

I like the grey one from cos that isn’t wool but I would really like to go to actual shops and try some jeans on next month.

Regarding the jumper, my approach is, if I don’t love it and enjoy wearing it, sell it and buy something you love with the money!

@toastfiend I love the jumper but know what you mean - it's a length that will look fantastic with skinny jeans or maybe coated jeans but not quite right for other styles. Would be great with your DM's and some leggings or skinny though. I tend to think if you don't really wear something it's best to sell on and get something you will really enjoy wearing.

@MargotLB you look really elegant.I've seen lots of cropped leather trousers and haven't been sure how to style them You do it well.
@Softpebbles I love your cardigan.
@toastfiend I really do like your jumper but if you keep taking it off and not wearing it sell it.You have inspired me to wear a long cardy from H&M that is lurking at the bottom of my wardrobe though.

@toastfiend I love the jumper and think it would look good with your agolde jeans which seem to be straight slim kind of cut? Have you tried? But if it doesn’t go with your current wardrobe you can store it or sell it

@MargotLB I love the green whistles top. So elegant. I wish I could do leather as I keep seeing trousers I am drawn to.

@Sooverthemill - I like them (but I’d definitely wait for the sale).

Just jumping on to say how much I enjoy seeing everyone's outfits! I spend the majority of my time in uniform (NHS OT) which is a shame. Used to wear my regular clothes to work pre-covid as I work in mental health, so got to dress fairly nice every day so its been quite the adjustment having to wear the unflattering uniform. I thought this would mean I would make more of an effort to get dressed up at weekend but I think its made me lazy .

But I bought some expensive quality items at Christmas so plan on wearing as staple items. I bought 2 Finisterre boilersuits, in mustard and olive green, which I will wear with roll neck jumper underneath and DM's on my feet. Comfy but stylish (I hope). I might even put a bit of make up on

Welcome @mrstrickland - i have been eyeing up the ballon leg Finisterre cords, do you know what sizing is like?

I found getting the footwear right with the wider leg leather trousers difficult, the only thing that works for me is a sock boot. @Sooverthemill, your stripe jumper is lovely - if you’re looking for leather trousers you could wear that tucked in with a looser leg pair or a jogger type pair.

Heading in to town now with my daughter . As you’ll see I’m a fan of a polo neck! Only have two pairs of jeans so need to find a pair I’m happy in for casual wear. My jeans are both skinnies but I fear they are dated, have ordered a slim flare pair from M&S so see if they are any good.

Those are class! You could wear them all year round too - with a sweater in winter and they’d be gorgeous with a loose white t and sandals in summer.

I'm going to continue to lurk to get some ideas.

I currently live in the same pair of black jeans rotating 3 different jumpers :( Just don't have the time, inclination, confidence or know how to get out of them!

Hmm I have only got the boilersuit so not sure. I did have to size up on the boilersuit though as I felt it was a little snug and wanted to be able to wear a lightweight jumper underneath. Have to say the quality is amazing though. I have a couple of the merino wool base layer tops and they’re so warm and wash well

Continuing with my going through my whole wardrobe I was supposed to be wearing a COS jumper today but felt so uninspired by it & didn’t want to wear it, even though it’s a lovely jumper. I just keep passing it by. So that’s going straight into the “sell” pile. I just have other things I prefer. I’ve also just sold a pair of boots this morning - again lovely boots I just never reach for them as I have others I prefer. Things like that need to go!

Instead I’m in M&S mom jeans, silver Diesel high tops and a huge oversized LongTallSally jumper (with loads of layers under because my house is freezing and I’m poorly)
