Dubarry Style Boots

Living in the countryside and hours long walks through forests and fields I'm looking for a robust, waterproof pair of brown leather boot recommendations please. I spend my life in wellies and am looking for something smarter. I have heard about Dubarry boots and researched online. These are the style I am looking for and was wondering if there are any other similar that you'd recommend. I love the Duchess of Cambridge's taggle boots she's sported for decades. Thank you

I have Ariat Grasmeres and they are amazing. I looked at Dubarry’s - there are many good reviews and they look good, but they are ££££ and worn everywhere around me (something of a uniform or cliché), so I wanted something different. Ariat’s are half the price and brilliant quality.

Hello! I'm back again to ask those with the ariat grasmere what size did you get compared to your usual trainer/wellie boot size? I've been keeping my eye out for a sale and it's just landed! https://afarley.co.uk/products/ariat-boots-womens-grasmere-h2o-insulated-chocolate?currency=GBP&variant=39607112138924&utmmedium=cpc&utmmsource=google&utmcampaign=Google%20Shopping&gclid=CjwKCAiAg6yRBhBNEiwAeVyL0FUPbIYUKMSQqdXvKKwkgE0rJYsW7DoqTzREI-qmJTn-8uB7wDiFfhoCCzgQAvDDBwE

I would say Grasmeres are true to size. The side laces are brilliant as they fit all leg widths. I’m 5’2” and skinny and they lace up to fit. Also not too long. Make sure you keep the leather nourished - we use dubarry cream!

I have these for dog walking and they are just so comfortable.

Dubarry all the way!

I live in mine, they have been worth every penny. When they die I will be buying dubarry again.

I have to say I've never had an issue with my Dublin river boots of whatever version I've had- I had Toggi canyon which were comfy but too wide and I went Brogini for a bit too but they were uncomfortable. Mind you I won't pay Ariat prices so I definitely won't pay Dubarry 😂 but I do work my boots really hard. So I always go Dublin river for long boots and Toggi for short (Chelsea) boots.

Looks like you've landed in Ariat though which is great, I just wanted to stick up for the Dublin a little bit 😂
