Eternity ring like this one?

We're coming up for our silver wedding anniversary and DH would like to buy me an eternity ring. We've toyed with the idea before and never seen anything that either of us liked very much, but just for a laugh, I fired up the Garrard's page and this was the first thing I saw and we both loved it (but not the price).

Can anyone find me something similar but cheaper? I would like diamonds as it would go with my dressy necklace (solitaire diamond).

It's not quite what you want, but have Google of Bubble Eternity Ring, and see if you can enter the Google rabbit warren from there

SoupDragon · 05/01/2022 14:35

"Diamond bezel eternity" might also led you down a rabbit warren.

Ive not found one with the same amount of variety and width as the Garrads one. Have you thought about having an independent jeweller make one to your design?

Elieza · 05/01/2022 15:10

They may have £7,500 ‘add to cart’ rings (“as you do”) but their website isn’t the best for negotiating round!

(Flounces off in disgust to look at Argos’s site which is easier to go round and has a sale on…) Grin

Have you got Google lens on your phone? I did an image search and a few things come up. This for instance. Not a great match but there are pages of results to trawl through

This is a similar style albeit only round half the band

Take the image to a manufacturing jeweller and ask them to make something similar?

ShortKipper · 05/01/2022 16:34

Thanks everyone, some interesting links and things to Google. I do like the different shapes / haphazard nature of the Garrard one compared to some of the others, but I've got a few new avenues to explore. Maybe getting it made is a good idea, but I'm short on time if it's to be for our 25th in just under two months.

I think this is also called a chaos ring. one of my favourite diamond instagram accounts posts similar rings every now and then.

If you went to an independent jeweller that had their own workshop with that picture they might be able to quote for something similar.
I work as a jeweller in Hatton Garden and we can often make similar designs to designer ones for half the cost or advise on the best design for the budget you have.

Anonmousse · 05/01/2022 17:00

I live the design by the way and think 2 months would be probably doable for a bespoke ring. However from a practical point of view having diamonds all the way round means more expensive and slightly more risk of smashing the diamonds on the inside/palmside (if that makes sense)

PixelatedLunchbox · 05/01/2022 19:45

Sorry, that link didn't work properly.

Why is there not even a mention of the carat total on that ring? Or am I missing it ?
BluebellsGreenbells · 06/01/2022 00:51

Same ring - different prices

Worth shopping round!

Contact a few of the Jewellery quarter places in Birmingham for wholesale prices or one off designs.

@IamGusFring I know, that's really weird right? I would expect a lot of details on the cut, clarity, carat etc for a ring of that price. That website is dreadful for a high end jewellers!

Anonmousse · 06/01/2022 10:15

Yes that is strange. I can't imagine anyone wanting to spend 10k on something without really knowing the weight and spec of what they were actually getting Confused (although I guess the diamond weight would change depending on finger size)

maybe they expect people to look online but then make an appointment to buy....?

FreiasBathtub · 06/01/2022 10:25

Was just coming on to recommend Suzanne Kalan but see a pp has beaten me to it. I've been lusting after her pieces for a while: suzannekalan.com/collections/18k-rings

Looked on Mumsnet's favourite, Gemporia?

ApolloandDaphne · 06/01/2022 10:31

What about something like this?

sheilafleet.com/products/cosmos-constellation-ring-in-18ct-white-gold-18w-dr272?_pos=2&_sid=32b2d8eaf&_ss=r

I have several Sheila Fleet rings and love them.

SilverHairedCat · 06/01/2022 11:00

Ooh, just thought of another - Emily Nixon. She makes the most beautiful rings, can't believe I didn't think of her first!

If you're near Leeds this place is great for such things

I’m not being funny bit have you looked at band and eternity rings on qvc?

They have real diamonds as well as fake, and some unusual styles similar to what you like in both, but not exactly the same at the moment although their stock changes regularly.

For those looking for cheaper jewellery, I’ve found sometimes their gold plated ones are too goldy, like 24ct, which looks bad next to my 9ct, but their rhodium plated looks perfect and lasts for ages. I’ve not yet had it wear off. Well priced too. There’s a set of three rings for £50 just now where one is the different cuts the OP likes but obv it’s not diamonds at that price.

You get 60 days to wear it before committing to keep it. You pay upfront. If you return you just pay the postage.
