Anyone know if this is any good? It's pricey but is it worth it? I'm looking at their blushes and need someone to talk me out of it if it's no better than the rimmel blushes!

Not heard of that grand for years. They were revolutionary when they came out - the foundation I think

I think I'm just lured in by the packaging.

I can't help, I willingly fork over over £60 for their mascara because I love it. Beautiful powders and bronzers too, I personally prefer Surratt for blushers though. Did see a Chantecaille blush in the Net A Porter sale if that in any way helps soften the blow. The brow gel is pants though, avoid that from Chantecaille.

KiloWhat · 02/01/2022 15:30

@botemp thank you! It looks so pretty and I have christmas money so I might go for it.

The £60 mascara is amazing.

I’ve had various blushes/highlighters/bronzers and eyeshadows over the years. Colours are amazing and the formulations sublime. With limited editions the packaging is usually really beautiful too. The usual packaging is lovely but the limited editions really kick it up a notch.

I’d usually rather have one item of theirs than a whole box of other products.

Love their makeup.

I have the tinted moisturiser, concealer and gel blush. All are really great products and worth the price for me.

botemp · 02/01/2022 15:45

I'm not one for things smelling nice but the mascara smells amazing of fresh roses. It also has growth peptides and they definitely lengthen mine, so much so I can't use it on bottom lashes as it becomes too comical. It's very natural but just with that added je ne sais quoi, lengthening and individual hairs are visible. Not worth your money if you like a full fat lash but if you're a no makeup makeup kind of person it's an elusive holy grail. There's a cheaper version without the growth peptides in, otherwise same formula, but for some reason that feels like a rip off to me 🤷 also, packaging isn't particularly nice on the mascara and the graphic elements rub away quickly so don't buy it for the packaging.

Welshgal85 · 02/01/2022 15:47

I haven’t tried their make up but love their Jasmine and Lily face mask, it’s so lovely, pricey but does last ages and a little goes a long way 😍

BoopTheFloof · 02/01/2022 15:47

The mascara is a lash serum as well as a mascara so it makes your eyelashes naturally a little bit thicker/longer over time.

As a mascara in itself, it’s just prefect. One coat and my eyelashes have an elegant sweep and subtle lustrous ness no other mascara comes close to achieving.

One and a half coats (second coat only on the outer upper lashes) and I feel like a movie star.

botemp · 02/01/2022 15:48

Also, I usually can only use a tubing mascara to avoid looking like a panda, this is one of the few non tubing mascaras I can wear without issue.

BoopTheFloof · 02/01/2022 15:50

This is the review that convinced me the first time I was thinking about it.

It has to be the Faux Cils Longest Lash one, not the plain Faux Cils one.

Purplecatshopaholic · 02/01/2022 15:50

I have the tinted moisturiser and I love it. So light and easy to wear, evens skin out and has an spf. But yes, it’s pricey

sarahtalkstoomuch · 02/01/2022 15:57

That mascara is absolutely wonderful. I was giddy the first time I handed over £60, but it’s so worth it

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2022 15:59

I did a huge shop there once in Liberty

Such nice stuff, but I hate to say this some products haven’t been perfect - eg the foundation is a bit off but maybe because it’s oil free and I missed that part

MarshaBradyo · 02/01/2022 16:00

The lip balm is really good, tinted moisturiser, eye shadow, lipstick and serum

Blusher is quite good - and other stuff

I pretty much did a full sweep!

knitknack · 02/01/2022 16:03

I use the bronzer in a tube. It’s beautiful! I’ll happily use Barry M eyeliner and collection face powder, but I always use their bronzer and Clarins mascara! I’ve got certain favs that I stick with 😊

Flammkuchen · 02/01/2022 16:06

I only have the blusher and love it. DD regularly borrows it. A little goes a very long way

Wagsandclaws · 02/01/2022 17:20

This board is so bad for my bank account, I've bought the mascara and tinted moisturiser 😐 🤣

I will report back ( secretly excited ! )

Ooh let us know!

I have a cream blush and a blush with a coral print on it in my basket. Trying to decide between that and the butterfly one.

Do you mean the cheek gelee? It’s really beautiful one. Subtle and sheer plus a pop of colour all at once. I use the “Lively” one as I have a warm skin tone.

ChequerBoard · 02/01/2022 17:39

Seconding the cheek gellee, it's lovely for a subtle, really natural looking blush but also builds of you want a bit more pop.

I have the shade 'happy' works well with my fair/pale skin and dark eyes/hair.

That's the one. They have fancy names for everything!
