Where to buy nice flats?

Please help me out.

I used to buy a lot from Dune, Kurt Geiger and various Debenhams brands. Now I can't find anything at all in the first two and Debenhams is utter tat.

I'm looking for multiple pairs of flat shoes, pumps, preferably slightly pointed. Not square. Not necessarily your standard ballet pumps although I'd be fine with them. Need to be comfortable and smart.

I'm looking for black, navy and beige ones, leather, suede or canvas considered as I need some smarter ones as well as some for day to day casual wear when I'm out walking with DS. Preferably plain as my wardrobe is more smart/classy/smart casual. I'd consider something quirky and/or patterned too, but probably as an extra statement pair. Light looking, not chunky.

I'm so done with trainers (I'm on mat leave now). And so done with cheap, plasticky shoes everywhere, definitely no sweaty feet and no holes in the sole after a month for me, I don't want to waste my money.

Any suggestions, please?

They have cushioning in the soles for additional support. I've bought loads of styles from fitflop and they're always comfortable because of the footed support and cushioning.

John Lewis (lots of brands), Boden (lots of different colours), Charles Clinkard (different brands). TK Maxx is worth a look online - occasionally there is a bargain in the right size! I haven’t bought shoes from Seasalt, but they do some nice looking flat shoes, as do White Stuff and Fat Face. I’ve bought flats from Ecco too - very comfortable, and worth the money - they last a few years.

Skechers are comfy, but too casual and mostly look too chunky for me I'm afraid.

Aldo - I know the brand very well, bought lots there when I lived abroad. I think they went through a phase where I personally couldn't find anything for me. However, I had a look now and I can see some nice ones there, sadly my size is gone! (4.5 or 5).

I have lots of heels and boots from M&S but never liked their flats Sad The Spanish chains such as Zara and Mango are usually too big for me because of my half size. Their size 4 is too uncomfortable. Clarks shoes lack something for me, I tried many times, but it's not quite my style.

@Twinkleylight They are perfect in blush (although it's nude not blush, which suits me better!). So perfect that I just bought a pair and hope the sizing is ok Grin Thank you! Flowers

@Mrssmiling Great shouts too - I'm still looking for black and navy ones, will check these out now.

Has anyone tried any of the Zalando brands?

Has anyone come across Vagabond anywhere in the UK as well?

KM is a good call too, but their flats are too pointy. Can you tell I'm really fussy with my flats 😂 Sorry. I just always look for something simple and it's so hard to find, I don't know why!

Scrap Vagabond, they have barely any choice in the UK and they aren't what I'm looking for anyway. Such a shame, used to be great shoes, again used to buy regularly from them abroad.

Hotter are very comfortable! Oh and Jigsaw online may be worth a look.
Some lovely shoes although sometimes a little narrow for my wide feet. Pavers, Moshulu and Franchetti Bond too…worth looking at lots of sites to find what you want.Smile

OP, I'm a half size too (37.5) which makes it more difficult as so many brands only make full sizes. That said, I find slipping a half sole in a 38 is a better solution than trying to wear a 37.

I wear lots of flats, mostly from Aeyde, the majority of which I buy when they are on sale.
