Best mascara for a late 40 something…….

Usual No7 mascara is just not cutting it anymore……smudging under eyes and really clumpy plus the new horrid No7 packaging mean I am looking for a new go to.
I wear mascara every day in brown/black as I am very fair haired.
Please recommend your best buys under £30 if possible!

I like Clinique high impact or even better Hourglass caution, both are tubing mascaras - essential for my 51 year old lashes!

I really like Clinique lash power, I normally get the mini size free with their promotions.

I’ve been finding my usually ok mascaras have been clumping and smudging. I couldn’t work it out until I realised it was the heat rising from inside my mask when I was out and about was kind of melting my mascara. So I bought a cheapie maybelline waterproof which has sorted the issue for me.

Which no7 mascara? I'm 41 and bloody love no7 stay perfect. I'm picky af and wear contacts and I think it's amazing.
If you aren't already using one I think you need a tubing mascara. Game changer.

Lancôme noir hypnotic mascara.

Agree. I bought two no7 mascaras recently and they have ruined stay perfect so I’m on the lookout too.

I use tubing mascara too, it's a game changer, especially for hooded eyelids. I'm 48. I use the no.7 one but the Clinique one is also good.

I love maybelline sky high mascara. It doesn't clump or smudge. I normally end up with panda eyes, but not with this one.

So do I. Maybelline is the best for the price. It never flakes or clumps. But it layers so well. You can put on one layer for a very natural no make up look or add several layers that build without clumping for a more dramatic look. Need to change it every 4-6 months, though as it does dry out.

I love this as well. Tried a few other £££ brands and other benefit mascaras but I go straight back to roller.

Another vote for Max Factor Masterpiece Max. I've tried so many others but always come back to this one

How is mascara age-related?

I found my eyelids getting oilier since I aged so I wear tubing or waterproof.

Maybelline snapscara is good or Glossier tubing. I tried the Dior waterproof and wasn’t overly impressed for the price!

Maybelline sky high here too, does not shift and on the odd occasion I've slept with it on it still looks good the next day x

How is mascara age-related?

I was wondering this too (not in a mean way) I would have thought it's one of those products that doesn't change much in terms of what you want as you age, unlike say foundation or eye shadow? I'm 41 and still want the same as when was young; makes eyes look bigger, no spiders, comes off easily
