Charlotte Tilsbury lippy.....awful!

I asked my OH for Charlotte Tilsbury Kim KW lipstick for Christmas as I love the shade....put it on today and its bloody awful stuff. Colour lovely but it doesn't stay on, doesn't sit evenly and looks cheap. Deffo not worth £25....feel robbed.

Anyone else think it's awful or is it just me?

Normally use mac and never have an issue

I bought one of the refillable ones a while back and it was horrible.

you may need to use the lip liner first

Can't be faffed with lip liner...never really used it apart from in the 90s when it was dark liner and a lighter lipstick 🤣🤣

Email them and ask to return it, not fit for purpose.

Definitely apply with a lip brush, blot and reapply .

I think lip brushes are probably a bit old fashioned (judging by their scarcity when searching recently) but I believe always give a better finish and staying power.

Agree. I bought a CT lipstick on black Friday, colour is nice but it really dries my lips. Not worth the money.

I have had 3 free ones now. I hate them all.

I agree with you. Colours are good, formula is cheap rubbish.

I found 'lead the way' by maybeline to be a really good pillow talk dupe and haven't looked back.

Yes awful, I bought a CT pillow talk and it makes my lips look really dry as when applying it the lipstick has no glide. Felt robbed too.

Is it a matte one? They look terrible on me. Especially that pillow talk one they keep going on about.

I bought into the Pillow Talk hype - so disappointed. Waste of money.

Matte formulas have to be really good or they are drying and aging on a lot of people.

Thankfully I think the matte lip trend has had its day

I really like CT, but not a fan of the lipstick.

My favourite was bond girl. But I had to put it on very very lightly (as in gently dab all over my lips) then put on some lip balm, so I never lasted.

I wouldn't buy another lipstick from CT.

Sorry had to put the lip balm on ad dried my lips so much.

I bought one and it’s OK, it’s no better than anything else I’ve ever bought.

The lipsticks are awful, they make my lips really dry for days after! I’ve tried numerous times but they don’t work for me at all, the colours are always beautiful though!

The lip bath glosses are really good though!

Glad its not just me. I had one last Christmas, beautiful colour but knackers my lips. I tried it with lip balm and it was even worse.

That’s a shame OP I have a fair few Charlotte tilbury lipsticks and have had no issues with them,l

I love her blushes and the highlighter wand thing but the lipstick just doesn't suit my lips, I might have particularly sensitive lips I guess

I'm not a fan of any of her stuff to be honest, it's overpriced for the quality imo. Can't beat dior lipstick, pricey but amazing, I was sceptical when everyone was raving about it that it would be a case of paying for the label but it's brilliant.

I tried the Kim K lipstick and hated it too. Patchy and was definitely the wrong shade for me. I used it with two different CT lip liners too.

Yep - it lasts all of 5 minutes. Total rip-off. Lower end brands do much better longer lasting lipstick for a quarter of the price.

I’ve got a couple and haven’t had any issues with them. They’re not the best ones I’ve got but I don’t find them drying and the coverage is fine on me.

I also don’t rate the products I’ve tried. Been very disappointed in them.
