Hi all, I really like makeup but feel like I’m stuck in a bit of a makeup rut. I turned 40 this year which I think is part of it. Do you have a signature look? What do go for day-to-day? I suppose I’m just looking for a bit of inspiration. Thanks in advance everyone.

If I'm on Zoom its full face! Base, concealer, lipstick, blush (often I'll just rub some of the lipstick in), neutral eye tones - I prefer nude tones to colours, these days. I've only really paid attention to brows recently having seen how messy they can look in screenshots. Also starting to feel brown mascara is more flattering than black, and more likely to use brown and grey eye pencils than black. I never managed to master winged eyeliner! Prefer to smudge eye pencil / shadow with a small brush. I try never to let anything fall below the 'eye corner to eyebrow point' invsible line, because of droopage.

If going to work, up early, it's probably tinted moisturiser, mascara, and a not too emphatic lippy- neither gloopy gloss nor goth Matte, sort of in between polished version of my own lip colour.

Has anyone had a bash at the concealer/blusher/contour lines blended with a sponge technique?

You do the three daft-looking lines like this, then blend and blend and blend.

I had a go and was quite pleased - looked natural, pretty, fresh.
