Best budget night cream

My skin feels dry & tight in the morning. What's the best night cream that doesn't break the bank? At the moment I'm using a cheap Lidl night cream plus the ordinary rosehip oil on top. If I put loads of the rosehip oil on I don't feel too dry in the morning, but I look like an oil slick at bedtime!

M&S ultimate night cream is what I always go back to. I restocked about a week ago, seems I got there just in time!

@Branleuse

when you say budget, what would you stretch to? I love the m&s ultimate sleep cream, but i just checked and says no longer available. I can see it on ebay plenty though. It is going for about £15 and I really rate it. For budget budget stuff, id look at stuff like oil of olay or nivea, or even pure coconut oil.

I honestly think its just trial and error as to what your skin likes, but I do think that skin feeling a bit tight in the morning doesnt necessarily mean it needs you to put oils and creams on it necessarily

M&S Ultimate Sleep Cream is definitely still available @Branleuse 🤔**

I like the Boots L;ft range. I use the day and night cream and serum. Its on and off being on offer and often half price.

Blue tub nivea, every other night

My skin is really dry - especially this time of year - and I have been using Nivea creme (in the blue tub) at night and my skin is now nice and hydrated

Try Q+A Chamomile Night - really soothing night cream, which is on offer right now as well! www.qandaskin.com/collections/shop-all/products/chamomile-night-cream

I don’t think you need major changes just use the bha less frequently and I find rosehip oil first moisturiser second works better. If you are wearing spf and make up you need both cleanses imo.

I’ve tried Cerave as I have very dry skin and it doesn’t work for me at all.

Sorry! I meant Cetaphil in the tub- not CeraVe. I always get the names mixed up. Your right, CeraVe has great ingredients but I did not find it moisturising enough. Cetaphil in the tub was way better.

Olay does some great night cream

Squiz81 · 29/12/2021 18:39

Currently I’m doing - CeraVe SA cleanser, tropics toner, upcircle serum, CeraVe night cream.

I had terrible eczema on my face and this combination appears to be keeping it under control.

Retinol is what actually works and I’ve used and tried literally most about - the Superdrug retinol nightcream is easy best for value for money. Often on offer too.

Quick update: I've continued using the cleansing butter and lrp cleanser, but no bha. My skin has felt much less tight in the mornings. The last few nights I've used an Eve Lom sample which is lovely, but even with normal night cream or rose hip oil my skin feels much better.
