What are you looking for in the sales?

Because it's always fun to hear other people's must buys for the year. I think mine are:

• really chunky soled loafers, poss from Cos or Kin
• coloured trainers - Nike/New Balance
• slim leather trousers.

Only thing I want is dms!

Grey trainers (usually go for Gazelles but can't find any in the sale)

A navy jumper, ideally cashmere but merino would be fine

Dressy-ish tops - a major gap in my wardrobe but I don't actually know what I'm looking for so this may be a struggle. Something that isn't a jumper or sweatshirt that I can throw on to instantly feel a bit smart but not overdressed.

Smart ish weekend tops. Had some success so far in Marks and Sparks with a chocolate mix blouse, ultraviolet high neck top and a high neck long sleeve ivory top.

I have also bought a viscose turquoise monsoon floral dress from next for 35. Not sure about it but the colour is fab so will see.

Work trousers in navy
Basic long sleeve tops

Midi shirt dress (not synthetic)
Soft wool jumper/hoodie (probably cashmere but don't mind as long as it's non-itchy)
Soft wool base layer
Soft wool wrist warmers
Wool winter coat
Velvet wide-leg trousers or dress for next Christmas
If anyone has seen any good discounts on these, I'd love to know where!

I’m off to Boots sale this morning. Stocking up on No 7 as the gift sets will be reduced. Might buy some other toiletries too.

Knitted joggers. Hush have them but the colour I want isn't reduced 😢

I don't need anything but have had a bonus from work and it will be nice to treat myself. Possibilities:
an All Saints silk mix midi dress
an All Saints leather jacket
new knee high black boots because mine have sprung a leak
jumper dress if I can find a nice one - have been looking for ages

perfume: I really want a Penhaligon's one, but they're terrifyingly expensive, so maybe the Tiffany men's one instead, as it's nicer than the women's

If also really like a silk blouse for dressing up jeans, but can't find anything I love. I really struggle with finding tops that I like, and the billowing sleeves trend does nothing for me.

@lurkingfromhome Uniqlo have some gorgeous jumpers and their sale has started online

Fat Face has a nice cashmere hoodie in the sale. It's much more casual than smart, though, so depends what you're after. It's very soft, though. I have it in grey.

I'm thinking about those! I can't get on board with leather culottes etc. Something about leather just looks silly to me in looser cuts. But I'm thinking a good pair of leather leggings or slimlegs is a perennial.

Ooh. I forgot the other thing I want. I've been flirting with The Fold for ages and one of these days I really need to pull the trigger. I have my eyes on one of their Belleville hybrid top/jackets or a gorgeous saffron silk blouse.

I really fancy a cashmere jumper, preferably a hoodie, probably will decide it’s too extravagant even in the sales, could do with a cosy work dress, would like a knitted one.

I'm after a decent sized cross body bag! Every one I see is the sort of textured leather I want smooth leather or a sort of waxed finish!

I’ve bought a Brora tank top from John Lewis. Also keeping my eye on a leather tote bag from And/Or, but that’s not gone in the sale yet.

I've just ordered stuart weitzman over the knee boots from John Lewis, I've wanted a pair for ages but
couldn't spend £600 on them, they were such a great sale price, I hope they are not too long as I'm only 5ft 3 tall.
