Just wondering if it's possible to lose the apple shape.

I'm 56lbs down but still very Appley.

Got another 35lbs to go.

@LiloandTwitch I really don't think you're an Apple. You definitely have a nipped in waist and a very lovely figure. You look much more of an hourglass in your wedding and current photos. Congrats on the weight loss! I'm currently a size 8, but have ballooned up to a size 18-20 whilst pregnant and the couple years after. I was definitely more Apple shape then. I also have a lot of excess flabby skin leftover on my mid section which makes me look bigger. You may have this too, which could possibly make you still look a bit more of an Apple. But I would definitely say you are an hourglass.

I am an apple. I was a bigger apple before gastric sleeve and am a smaller apple now. Just to say any weight does go straight back in around the middle which is annoying but I am still 10 stone down so am still grateful I had it done.

How much double boob? Slight bulge, or another set of boobs?

I find that I have to adjust things a bit with balcony bras, whereas ordinary ones I can just pour myself in Grin

The outfit today. Looks better with tights!

I'd say you're a hourglass with that waist and looking at your wedding photo, I'm a size 14 hourglass and looked appley when I was bigger but as I lost weight I got my old shape back. Love the dress by the way!

Did you use this method or did you just order bigger cups? (It's really worth doing the process and getting the right size. Sometimes some styles will be better in a sister size www.amplebosom.com/blogs/what-are-sister-bra-sizes/)

LiloandTwitch · 25/12/2021 16:23

I just ordered bigger. But I will do that method for when I return them to get the correct size.

How would you know to size up or down though?

Not read the thread, so I might be repeating what has been said but look up Dr Jason Fung , intermittent fasting and low carbing. I have been apple shaped all my life until this year, and now I am a much much nicer shape than I’ve been at 20 lbs lighter. Plus fasting and low carbing has finally conquered my disastrous relationship to sugar.

It depends on the style. There's a database of bra styles www.bratabase.com/ and there's people on here who know LOADS and can advise you. That's what I did anyway.

Most people who measure in between (33, 35 etc) size up because the idea is it's actually your body size so there's not much more give. But some people prefer it firmer. Try both and send the other back.

Ah brilliant. Thanks so much!
