Eternity ring help

My husband is buying me an eternity ring for Christmas as we’ve just celebrated a milestone anniversary. My wedding and engagement rings are quite plain and minimal platinum bands (will try to upload pic) so I’m wanting a bit of sparkle! I’m at a loss as to where to start though! My engagement ring is pretty high and I wouldn’t want the rings to clash. I’m lost in a midst of settings and styles. Can anyone help? We have about 1-1.5k to spend! Thanks in advance!

My engagement and wedding rings are almost identical to yours. Also platinum. We got my eternity ring just a few weeks ago to celebrate the birth of our second baby.
Mine is an half eternity, but because my fingers are small (size i), when it was resized, it goes almost about three quarters of the way around my finger. I also prefer it to be smooth on the back so it doesn't catch on clothes, baby etc. If you are anywhere near York, I would recommend Bradley's. They are lovely. We paid £1400 for almost 1 carat of diamonds.

I have this which I wear on the other hand generally but doesn’t go with my other rings too, I went into a local jeweller where they make them to order and asked their advice about what would work best and they showed me some examples.

Since your engagement ring is claw set I would look at claw set half hoop eternity rings or shared/micro claw. I think they would look lovely with your rings. If you go to a jeweller they will be able to let you try them on to see what you think. I would day one that is similar width to your engagement ring and wedding ring band would be lovely. Go to a jeweller and try some on with your other rings my engagement ring is a crossover one so the ring design was somewhat difficult

This is mine. Since your rings are narrow, I would go for an eternity ring that is a similar width and the same claw setting as your engagement ring. I like full eternity so that if the ring moves you still see the stones.

Thanks all so much for taking the time to post. I went to try some on and liked the channel set ones as they seem to fit quite well with my other rings. I’m wondering whether it would be best to buy now or whether there might be sales in January. Any thoughts? Would like the biggest shiniest diamonds for my money!

Go to the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. We paid 1/3 of what a high street jeweller wanted for my ring of choice, even with a larger diamond. It’s insured for double what we paid!

It was a 3/4 hour drive each way for us, but a lovely day out choosing my ring/had a nice lunch and completely worth the drive for the saving we made.

That's very similar to my (oval) solitaire plus wedding band plus eternity ring combination - only mine is yellow gold

I bought all my jewellery from the Jewellery quarter. Or rather Dh did 😂😂😂

Ask them if they can polish your existing rings too, then the new ring won’t shout “IM NEW” & everything will sparkle.

I am getting an eternity ring and couldn’t find quite what I wanted so am getting one designed/made by a local jeweller. It wasn’t too expensive but makes it very special.

Very similar to you OP, I have relatively thin, plain bands and a solitaire engagement rings. DH wanted to get me an eternity ring for a big anniversary in Oct but I am still dithering on what I want!! I am thinking of getting something made as I can't quite find what I want, but like something along the lines of the following with a pave setting.

Have you considered micro eternity rings?
I absolutely love them. No idea who or where does them. But I think one or poss two would suit your rings and look gorgeous.

I'd quite like an eternity ring, but I work in healthcare so never even wear my engagement ring.
Think I'll treat myself to one when I retire. That's 20 odd years mind...
