Shops that stock plus-size

43leftfeet · 01/12/2021 15:43

I'm size 24 and I've looked at every shop I can think of for an outfit for a Christmas drink.

Next, Monsoon, John Lewis, M&S, Debenhams, Yours, River Island, Simply Be, Asos, Curvissa, Karen Millen, Sea Salt.

Boden & Fat Face don't stock my size sadly :(

Who have I missed?

I have a huge stomach - I look like I'm pregnant! So it's a bit tricky to find clothes that suit. I ordered a load of stuff that came today but none of it was any good.

I need to order something today to get it in time, panicking a little now Grin

Thanks :)

Twinstudy · 01/12/2021 15:56

Tu by Sainsbury's? I know it's supermarket clothes but they actually have some really nice stuff sometimes! Lucy and yak, pretty kitty, m &s? What sort of thing are you looking for?

hotchocdrinker · 01/12/2021 15:57

Fatface do quite a few dresses in a size 24.

Phase Eight Karen Millen Never Fully Dressed Joanie

Have you tried these?

Sorry, I should have said I've tried Phase Eight. Joanie only goes up to 22.

Not heard of Never Fully Dressed, will have a look, thanks!

I'm with you on that! Sainsbury's have come good on a number of occasions. Once when I was looking for an interview suit - no shops in town had anything that suited me - I'd been to them all and tried on literally everything that fitted me (didn't take long, haha!).

Then I thought I'd have a quick look at the clothes in Sainsburys just in case, and there was a nice, smart skirt & blazer perfect for an interview and which actually suited me!

But - I've looked and nothing online, this time.

I also love Lucy & Yak as suggested by the other poster.

NorthernTights · 01/12/2021 16:08

How much do you want to spend? I’ve heard good things about Donald Stanley, but they’re made to your size, so might not be quick enough.

43leftfeet · 01/12/2021 16:10

Fat Face haven't got anything above a 22, I don't know if they do sometimes do 24, but they don't have any right now.

Lovely clothes on Never Fully Dressed! But they only seem to go up to a 16?

I know you've tried John Lewis but there is a new make called Live in my John Lewis which goes up past a size 24. I like the styles and prices are reasonable. Saw good dresses from £45 when I was looking for a gift. Hope you find something you like op 💐

Nitgel · 01/12/2021 16:11

Anthropologie do plus sizes now

Anywhere between £30 and £100 depending on what it is, how much I love it, whether I'll use it again etc...

I need to have it in my hand by Friday so I think bespoke is probably out of the question! I'll have a look for another time though, thank you.

In the style - their Jessica Millichamp range is a lovely plus sized collection.

mrstea301 · 01/12/2021 16:13

Eloquii is a designer that definitely goes up to size 24 - they can be pricey but there are lots of options on eBay that might do the trick?

PurplePotato · 01/12/2021 16:13

Live Unlimited London, Mango?

Bishbashboshing · 01/12/2021 16:14

My sister is the same size as you, she buys most of her clothes from a website called yours. They also have some actual stores in the south east. The clothes seem great quality and my sister always looks very stylish and put together.

BreadBreadBread · 01/12/2021 16:14

@43leftfeet, you need to go to the Curve section of the Never Fully Dressed site.

I love this fwiw www.neverfullydressed.co.uk/products/happy-place-midi-dress-curve

mrstea301 · 01/12/2021 16:14

You could also hire a dress - siodauk.com/collections/dresses

Think this is the page for the Curve section of NFD. They go up to a 26 I think.

DedalusBloom · 01/12/2021 16:40

Anna Scholz isn't cheap, but some lovely funky stuff up to a size 28

BreadBreadBread · 01/12/2021 17:05

Some beautiful things in the Anna Scholz sale! Not super pricey either with the discount.

Fat Face haven't got anything above a 22, I don't know if they do sometimes do 24, but they don't have any right now.
When I look on the website there are 26 dress styles in a size 24...
