Ankle boots for a night out

I'm looking for a pair of ankle or possibly mid-calf boots for a night out.

I'll be wearing skinny black jeans or coated jeggings with a nice top - or possibly a dress.

Flat or very low heel - haven't worn heels since before lockdown and happy to keep it that way!

Any recommendations - or sales - much appreciated. Thanks :)

I'm considering these - what do you reckon?

They're at the upper end of my price range - £103 from John Lewis.

Not decided what I'm wearing yet but probably similar to the one wearing jeans. But maybe something like the other two.

These look more like the kind of boots I would wear during the day. For a night out, something a bit more glamorous perhaps ?

I love the first ones - I would wear those constantly. They aren’t exactly what I’d choose for a dress but would make do because of how often I’d wear them otherwise. Great for skinny jeans or pants.

I know what you mean! But it's not an overly glamourous occasion. Having said that, I guess it is Christmas (nearly) and maybe worth making a bit of an effort!

By glamour, do you mean a heel? (Not doing them any more!) Or are there other flat or very low styles you had in mind?

Yes, I really like them! But maybe a bit everyday, yes.

No I don't mean a heel as such. I can't wear heels either, but I can wear small heels for limited times such as a night out. I will try and find something I like to show you what I mean

I quite like the second ones, but not sure about patterned shoes when I may be wearing a patterned top.

Yes, pretty but I'm done with heels! No more, never again!

In case it's useful for anyone else, this site has some good bargains on boots.

No good to me though as they won't deliver in time.

Can anyone explain what's going on with the strappy bits on these boots? Do they just hang there?

Also, what colour would you say they are, black or silvery?

The description is no use on either front!

I'd say those are Black with a silver toe & silver straps. I guess they just hang there unless they are long enough to put in a bow? I can't make my mind up if it would like nice just hanging or get on my nerves

Mine are just cheap ones from ebay, they will be worn for a night out or a date soon. I'm optimistic

I would totally wear them for a night out but I don't tend to do very dressy uppy.
