Does my dress look ok?

It’s just a cheap thing, we’re having a small registry office do with just two witnesses so didn’t want to spend much money on anything.

I will wear a different bra, a push up one and accessorise with silver jewellery.

I had a baby 4 weeks ago and just feel like a disgusting mess.

Love it!

SleepingStandingUp · 27/11/2021 11:54

it looks great OGenki, what are you doing with your hair?

MirrorMirrorApplePie · 27/11/2021 11:54

You look beautiful

AurevoirLesEnfants · 27/11/2021 11:55

Cute! Think it will look great with the right underwear.

Congratulations twice for baby and wedding FlowersFlowers

FetchezLaVache · 27/11/2021 11:55

I think it looks beautiful and so do you! Also, you look particularly well-rested for 4 weeks PP!

You will look ethereal and romantic on the day.

When's the wedding? Congratulations in advance, have a lovely day. Flowers

CherryAndAlmond · 27/11/2021 11:56

I love the shoulders and sleeves. You look great!

AurevoirLesEnfants · 27/11/2021 11:57

Also amazed your 4 weeks post p. You look amazing!

OGenkiDesuKa · 27/11/2021 11:57

Thank you guys Flowers

Wedding is in 3 weeks. I had a csection so just have this horrific baggy apron belly now.

I’m going to spiral curl my hair and have it big and curly.

It is lovely.

daisydaisy11 · 27/11/2021 11:58

Lovely. Just the style I would go for myself and you have a pretty face to go with it.

Bonnealle · 27/11/2021 11:59

I think you’ll want to feel comfortable on your wedding day. What don’t you like about it? You don’t need to spend lots of money, but you don’t want to look back on your wedding day and regret your choice if you don’t feel right in it. What kind of dress style do you usually wear?

grey12 · 27/11/2021 12:00

I would try a longer necklace that falls on top of the dress (not super long) Wink

TrueGrit54 · 27/11/2021 12:01

Lovely, can’t believe you just had a baby. Sorry you feel a mess, you really don’t look it.

Is the lower part a bit see through? Maybe get a skirt slip? I don’t have my contacts in so it might me me! Congratulations on baby and wedding.

bonfireheart · 27/11/2021 12:01

Really lovely OP.

grey12 · 27/11/2021 12:04

This length, any longer it'll bounce off your boobs when you walk Blush personal experience.....

Does my dress look ok?
OGenkiDesuKa · 27/11/2021 12:06

I’m just worried about it looking cheap.
I was thinking of getting a tutu underskirt to give it a bit of volume?

OP posts:
MassiveHoard · 27/11/2021 12:08

You are very far from being a disgusting mess. You look gorgeous. I do remember that post baby phase when I just felt awkward in my own body but it is just an adjustment to the wonderful thing your body has just done. You produced a human being! That's amazing. Be proud. Enjoy your day, you look beautiful Flowers

SleepingStandingUp · 27/11/2021 12:09

id be worried about the lines of the underskirt showing through the dress as it isn't thick material. it really is lovely op but if you're not happy with the dress (rather than being 4 weeks pp and feeling a bit eugh about your body) can you afford to look for something else?

Crumblinginside · 27/11/2021 12:10

I love it.
Perfect underwear will really set it off.
You had a baby four weeks ago. Congrats Bear

I like the greek goddess style of it Smile
GoGoGretaDoll · 27/11/2021 12:17

I think it's gorgeous. Make sure you get the new bra asap so you've time to change it and try different things - one's boobins are all over the place after pregnancy.

For the skirt, do you have a seamstress nearby? They could take out that half lining and replace it with something full length and a bit thicker/gathered which would give it a touch more volume and get rid of that half line. I don't personally think you want tulle, it will change the shape too much from drapey to sticking out.

GoGoGretaDoll · 27/11/2021 12:18

I agree @grey12 - the drape is really pretty.

OGenkiDesuKa · 27/11/2021 12:19

It has a split up the side which is why it’s a half length under skirt I think. I might see about stitching it up and getting a full length slip

You look lovely, dress is gorgeous, those sleeves!!

I think that may be a good idea :)
