Christmas Night Out Outfit Wobble

After much fruitless searching for a night out outfit I tried on a black sequin dress I found in H+M. My legs are pretty decent so even though it's reasonably short I decided to go for it. The doubts are starting to set in though. I probably ideally would have gone for a size up and it doesn't quite skim my tummy although it's not horribly tight either.....So, style jury of mumsnet. Am I going to look ridiculous if I wear this?

I will probably wear black tights to tone it down a bit and the shoes are just ones I took for trying on purposes.

Consensus seems to be no tights. Guess I'm going to break out the razor as with bare legs I currently look like I am wearing a pair of hairy tights

Its lovely. I prefer bare legs. You don't need to tone down! I like the shoes too. I think a silver looks much nicer with bare legs than black.

Definitely bare legs or nude tights in my opinion.
The black tights look "too heavy" (weird description but I can't think of another way of putting it).

Yes you look fantastic and I also prefer bare legs (except I'd wear nude tights but my legs are like mottled corned beef!)

I tend to go for shape wear shorts that start under the bust and go to the thigh. Lovely line and feel very secure that nothings on show.

It looks lovely. I personally prefer it with the tights though, because I think bare legs in December seems a bit bonkers, unless you're taxi-ing door to door.

No tights deffo! Looks gorgeous on you. If you wana wear tights though I would go for different style shoes
