Enjoy your visitors @Sooverthemill. We've just cancelled our trip to London to see my brother and his family. I can't risk having to self-isolate until 10 days after the last person in the household catches omicron or having travel disruption due to train drivers self-isolating. Feeling very sad as it leaves my brother, SIL and niece in the lurch. We should be able to see my mum and perhaps my husband's family. All the uncertainty has been like slow torture. Today white stuff skirt, fenn, Wright and Manson cardigan.

Oh no @Greyhairwarmheart we are supposed to be staying at my Dad's starting Christmas Eve 🤞

So when I went to get a Christmas present at M&S I tried on a few pairs of trousers and jeans and came away with these 3 the dark ones haven't photographed well but are a great fit.

I'm loving the high waists that are everywhere finally jeans that fit my hips and my waist!

Today I was mostly in scruffs as went riding and for a long walk with the dogs but we popped into town for some last minute Christmas bits so I got changed.

@Sickoffamilydrama high waisted trousers are so good aren't they?! I love them and they make me feel pulled together even when I'm not. I love all those M&S ones on you, really good.
@Greyhairwarmheart I'm so sorry. I am feeling frustrated by the inaction by the Government and worry that we will have a repeat of last year when it's all last minute. It's the bing in limbo that affects us all for the worse.

DS and his GF are I think through the worst of their covid but felt really dreadful despite being triple jabbed. Both have asthma though so that may be why. In fact the timing was pretty good for them as the PCR was the day after they moved into their own flat and they've spent the time when they are awake setting up their new home, it's all very sweet. She is his first GF from school, they got together age 15 and split age 18. She married and divorced and they got back together this summer after they met up by chance at a festival over this way . She has managed to get a job locally too. Could be a Nora Ephron movie! I'm happy as I always loved her, she was a star when I was having chemo, coming over and helping out by cooking dinners and playing with DD. And DD was very close to her as I was having chemo during DD1s first year at university.

@MrsIPFreely that jumpsuit is gorgeous.@toastfiend I almost bought that M&S jumper but was being strict...it's lovely.@Sickoffamilydrama I love the high waists too...you look great in all of them.

I blame @Sooverthemill for today’s outfit! I saw her wearing the Boden dungarees, so I went and looked at the website. And stalked this pair. And then they were reduced even further so I bought them. Still thinking I’d send them back, I didn’t really need them, they’d be the wrong size. They arrived yesterday. I tried them on this morning and haven’t taken them off.

Me too @OublietteBravo.I just bought your M&S jumper @toastfiend after being so good and walking away in the shop.I also need to stop buying ALL my clothes at M&S.I think it's because I rarely go into shops since Covid and trust my sizing in M&S.I love &Other Stories and Zara but the sizes are all over the place.Will try setting a NY resolution to not spend for a few months and take my saved money into London to buy some clothes from actual shops.

I’d wanted this sweatshirt for ages now and it was half price so I snapped it up. I’m saying it’s my Christmas jumper!
