I’ve managed to avoid all the Black Friday/cyber Monday deals. Although I do keep buying bits from eBay (I’m selling stuff too - I’ve made more than I’ve spent).

Today was absolutely freezing. Although I did get to work in time to see a very pretty winter sunrise.

I've ended up buying lots. 2 sofas today! Amazingly DH and I agreed on style and colour. Hope they are comfy, hard not being able to try them.

@Sooverthemill your hand-knitted jumper is stunning - what a great skill to have. I crochet but have never mastered jumpers - the sleeves never fit in the sleeve holes, but I’m too impatient to do a tension square before starting so thats probably why 🤷‍♀️

@EllaPaella absolute game-changer - it’s bought back so many tired old jumpers. Not sure if use it on anything delicate though - I debobbled an eBay jumper once and it fell apart - think the bobbles were holding it together

@CaterpillaNavilla thank you! I've knitted for ever and I still feel amazed when I knit something that really works. I'm trying to understand what it is that I don't like about then knits I make that I don't wear. Definitely do a tension swatch it's a game changer! I always need to change needle sizes. Have you seen this new book? It makes me want to relearn crochet which I used to be ace at but haven't done since I left school

Ooh thanks @Sooverthemill I haven’t seen that - Ravelry is usually my go to but some of the patterns can be a bit hit and miss. Hope you’re feeling ok after the booster

@Sooverthemill it’s a sad state of affairs when a medical appointment is what allows us to wear our new, loved purchase isn’t it? I take my dogs to the Vet later - an exciting fashion opportunity LOL! I agree about your lovely jumper. I used to knit a bit, but when I tried again in lockdown, I found it aggravated the arthritis (relatively mild usually) in my fingers. Not sure how so many very old women manage it!

Thank you @AnnieSnap. I have arthritis too and find that if I do finger and wrist exercises before and after a knitting session I'm usually okay. Also circular needles are less aggravating on the wrists. I'm constantly feeling my age!

@CaterpillaNavilla I also recommend the shop I linked too. I do their knitalongs and they are fab to learn new things and get support. Ravelry too I'm in a few groups

Working today.Dressed all in M&S.Sat in my car now doing a quick school pick up before getting back to work.

@Sooverthemill I have never used circular needles. Is it difficult? I have beautiful soft needles in so many sizes. Maybe I’ll try again.

So today, for the exciting trip to the vets (I’m so rock and rock). I wore this outfit. I see from the photos that the mustard coloured tights were a poor choice 😳
