Best Lip Balm!

Hi all,
Apologies if this is tedious & boring BUT.....

I am on the look out for a really good lip balm!
I would like it to have a nice sheen and be really moisturising, so I don't get chapped lips!
I already have lip blush so colour not necessary, but I don't mind a little colour!
I also have just got lip fillers for the first time, so something that enhances them, without being sticky or tacky!
Not having to use my finger to apply is a HUGE bonus!
Not got a Budget as such, am willing to pay if it's good!

Hit me with your recs please!! X

Laniege lip mask it's the best .

Squiz81 · 13/11/2021 20:57

I like the Burts Bees beeswax lip balm - comes in a stick

bakingdemon · 13/11/2021 20:59

The Kiehl's mango one that comes in a little tube

dorothygaleandtoto · 13/11/2021 21:06

Honestly I favour the cheap as chips Nivea standard blue moisturising lip balm stick. It lasts ages on my lips and is a couple of quid.

pontiouspilates · 13/11/2021 21:07

I really like the Burt's Bees tinted lip balms.

Lovewins · 13/11/2021 21:09

I love the clarins lip balm in a blue tube- it’s pinkish but the colour is undetectable on lips. Keeps my lips super healthy all winter. Never without. (I also like nivea rose blush in the pot for teo quid but it’s a finger dip balm)

PearlAsylum · 13/11/2021 21:10

I second the Laneige lip mask - it's an overnight job and is fab.

During the day I stick to Vaseline or a Clinique Chubby Stick if I want colour.

Dr Lipp or Lanisoh (nipple balm) for when my lips are hopelessly chapped (usually when the central heating first goes on).

This is my lip balm of choice too. I spend several hours outside every day for work and play.
Kjr33 · 13/11/2021 21:48

Laniege lip mask is great for night as it stays put and doesn’t creep over your face, for day time I’m currently using some dr paw paw dupe Aldi were selling or a maybelline baby lips. Obviously vaseline is a winner the aloe one is nice

Minesnotahighhorse · 13/11/2021 21:54

Nuxe Reve de Miel, hands down. Non-greasy, seriously moisturising and lasts for ages. Only downside is that it's in a pot and I don't like using my hands to apply when out and about (the stick one isn't as good IMO).
For on the go I discovered Avon Anew Revival Lip Treatment which is a close second to the Nuxe and comes in a nice silver case. Oh, and it is blue, but goes on clear!!

Stars2theside · 13/11/2021 22:56

@Inthesameboatatmo ooh! I've not heard of this! I see there's a pot & stick version.... I may purchase both!

I've never rated the burts bees ones! I got a mini set last xmas and I couldn't get on with them!

@Lovewins yes!! I'd forgotten about the clarins one! I had that years ago and lost it! Never replaced it, but maybe now is the time, as it lasted well, until I lost it Blush

Also, vaseline only ever works for me when my lips are completely moisturised. If they're even a little bit chapped, it just irritates them!!
I had a Nars one before too, orgasm I think it was called. Wasn't too bad, but not moisturising enough to justify it's price!
@Minesnotahighhorse I'll have a look at the Nuxe one too. Have heard good things about that brand!

Carmex

Hotdogsforsale · 13/11/2021 23:42

Aveda Lip Saver for me.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 14/11/2021 04:43

Carmex

violetbunny · 14/11/2021 04:45

By Terry Baume de Rose is super luxurious but worth every penny.
If you are really averse to a pot, in comes in a stick version as well which is almost as good.

mathanxiety · 14/11/2021 04:51

Carmex.

It got me through the Polar Vortex a couple of years ago.

BirdyBirdyTweetTweet · 14/11/2021 06:05

Vaseline Rosy Tinted lip balm. Subtle pink colour and moisturises.

Inthesameboatatmo · 14/11/2021 07:00

@stars2theside .the pot comes with a tiny spatula so you don't need to use fingers and a little goes a very long way

FlowerPower3110 · 14/11/2021 07:13

I really like Carmex

LookdeepintotheParka · 14/11/2021 08:26

I really like the No 7 protect and perfect lip care. It's more of a cream than a balm but very moisturising. I get really sore, chapped lips and find a lot of the lip balms sting and can make my lips feel worse.

luckylavender · 14/11/2021 08:57

Lanolips

Stars2theside · 14/11/2021 08:59

I really can't stand carmex, I know it works for lots of people, but I've never liked it or the nivea ones! They both leave behind a residue on me, and I hate that!

Thanks to your recommendations, I've now gone on a little lip balm spending spree Grin

I have ordered the Laniege lip mask pot, and stick for on the go, and also the Nuxe Reve de miel.
I will also be getting the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Moisture Repairing Lip Balm(going to try and grab that today before work!) And will also give the non tinted Burts Bees a go, as I really didn't get on with the tinted ones!

Sounds a bit bonkers, but you can never have too many lip balms, can you?!
