I have used Body shop shea butter body butter for years with good results, they have now changed formula and it is awful. I am stuck at the moment with Aveeno for very dry skin, but it is only ok. No price restrictions, just recommendations for a really good cream for sensitive skin.
Thanks

Thanks for those suggestions.
Anyone know of anything a bit more indulgent?

The best body moisturizer ever is Neutrogena Norwegian formula. It's light and sinks in immediately and hydrates for days.
But it's not luxurious.
I think tbh, if you want to properly hydrate, you want Aveeno, Neutrogena, etc
All the beautifully fragranced luxury ones just aren't going to do the same. L'Occitane Shea range is good though.

CeraVe body moisturiser for scent free super moisturising. Similar to the LRP Lipikar one I think.

L'Occitane shea butter body moisturiser in a tub if you something scented and more spendy.

Using Aveeno, extra dry formula at the moment but do find it not as effective as the old shea butter from body shop. I will try L’Occitane, and Neutragena thanks!

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter is lovely & luxe.

bellabride · 13/11/2021 19:28

Another vote for CeraVe ( the pot of rich cream, rather than the lotion).

sparklefarts · 13/11/2021 19:30

Honestly, that nueva one in the big white pot.

Expensive ones may smell nice etc but are laden with fragrances etc that can make skin worse

sparklefarts · 13/11/2021 19:30

*nivea

I have very dry itchy skin, I’ve started using Cerave body cream (the tub), it’s brilliant, gives instant relief.

Lovewins · 13/11/2021 19:36

I add a few drops of bio oil to each pump of moisturiser (Dove vitamin C in the pump bottle) and my skin is sheeny and lovely for hours

Do you mean Nivea soft? I love it.
sparklefarts · 13/11/2021 19:39

@EmergencyPoncho
Aye that's the one!
Soaks in nicely, doesn't irritate, is great!

I've tried loads and loads of moisturisers over the years (eczema) and so many just irritate skin.

EmergencyPoncho · 13/11/2021 19:41

Yes I love it, for face and body!

Lovewins · 13/11/2021 19:43

I meant nivea not dove Hmm

thechaseison · 13/11/2021 19:51

Diprobase

Inthesameboatatmo · 13/11/2021 20:47

Weleda is good I have used that in the past , but I've found the best thing for me anyway is just add a few drops of any old oil from holland and Barratt in a pump of lotion.

Aveeno for very dry skin. Brilliant stuff

Wolfiefan · 13/11/2021 20:50

Please don’t tell me they’ve changed all the body butters! The hemp one is my go to for when my skin is dry and irritable. Shock

I’ve very dry and sensitive skin. I use 50/50 cream (buy it over the counter in a big tub) on advice of my GP.
It’s a mix of paraffins and is like a runnier Vaseline.

I tried Aveeno, Body Shop, Cetraban, Cerave etc. All were fine but a couple of hours after using, my skin was dry again.
50/50 lasts all day.
