Big Liberty GWP out today - actually 3 GWPs depending on what you spend. The biggest one includes an Iphis bag (looks like a different one to the previous gift) but requires a whopping £350 spend.

Quite tempting to get the £100 Face kit, which would be enough to qualify for the smallest size gift (still worth £195!)

Is anyone else tempted?

I'm very tempted by the biggest one but struggling to justify a 350 spend. I mean I'm running low on shampoo and could get the face kit and tuck it away as a christmas present for someone, but still...

Possibly controversial question, sorry: Are these GWPs just a way to get rid of stock that isn’t selling? I have the REN stuff from the liberty beauty drop, and keep seeing it on sale and part of other kits. When it’s free but “worth” £££ I can’t help feeling it’s a bit of a scam.

@Mrcpy it’s a good question. While I don’t think the GWPs are a scam, neither are they “worth” the value they are advertised at. My guess is that the GWPs are a combination of items the retailers can get cheaply/for free from the brands (perhaps because they want to offload, or to get people to try new products) and one or two “hero” items to persuade customers into the spend required for the GWP.

It’s a lot like the Beauty Advent Calendars. You need to make a judgement about what it is “worth” to you (I personally often consider what the items I know I want and will use are selling for on ebay, and use that as a “value” to me) and also about whether there are items you want/need from that retailer and that you’d buy anyway at some point. It makes sense to time your normal spend for when there is a GWP on offer.

@Popsicle33 when Space NK do an offer like this they run out of stock on a lot of items. Then when GWP rolls around you can’t buy your regular items. That’s what I’ve found anyway.

I needed an Olaplex stock up, so I've gone for it (although it's gone up - £28 now instead of £26), and it's brought my points up enough for a fiver off next time. Plus I can't turn down Nailberry polish with 20% off 😊
