What colour is my hair?

(Please help me resolve a debate I’m having with DH.)

What would you call it?

• mouse
• light brown
• something else

It tends to go a bit blonde in the sun as you can see from the ends. Also needs a good cut!

Mousey is a bit of an insult imo. I’d say light brown.

Take a photo outside in natural light to show more clearly?

Taking a photo under a light inside or in the sun tends to lick up the lighter tones.

It’s a lovely colour OP as it has rich tones in it and looks like very healthy hair.

One of my DC has your colour hair and I’ve always said it’s brown but in the light, it has lighter tones and also around the front near the face. My other DC has blonde hair, very blonde when small and I’d still call it blonde but definitely more white/ashy tones than rich tones.

I think a hairdresser would say you have blonde highlights if they put that colour into your hair.

This is my hair OP, I’ve stopped bleaching my hair a year and a half ago for the first time in 20 years. I think it’s a similar shade perhaps.

OP is blonde, natural blonde. A rare thing.
I am too. I’m 58 and have long, blonde hair. I’ve been to hairdressers under 10 times in my life. Most of them asked when I last had my hair dyed. I didn’t! I was astonished that they couldn’t tell the difference.

Dark blonde but I do think that picture is making it look darker than it actually is

It looks a similar colour to mine, I’m definitely a brunette. Mine highlights a lot in summer too, but darkens in winter.

Dark blonde. It doesn't look to have enough red/depth in it to be light brown. It's a lovely colour.
