(a) I'm over 35

(b) I have an extremely small muffin top which will be covered up

(b) I'm a size 12 but have long legs and don't have a huge arse or anything.

TIA

Hmm, I think you have to be:

a) under 21
b) very very long legs
c) size 8 max

themoon66 · 12/12/2007 11:27

Oh go on then

I don't meet any of piggy's criteria and I do it . I am slightly smaller and younger than you Jones but not much.

littleboo · 12/12/2007 14:42

Yea jones, go for it

Gemy · 12/12/2007 15:09

I think you'll be ok - but if you wear them and feel really self-conscious this will show. You have to go for it and believe in yourself looking good!

(also ensure the other clothes you wear with the jeans & Boots, and your hair and make-up are appropriate to the look)

gorgeousfeebie · 12/12/2007 15:12

Jones go for it honey take no notice of Piggy I think its a great look

orangina · 12/12/2007 15:24

So sorry, disagree with piggy, can look great. Choose boots carefully (pink uggs better on the under 21 for example), and sweater dresses over skinnies can do wonders for the little muffin top. Go for it!

SquonkaClaus · 12/12/2007 15:25

how about if I am:

a) over 35
b) quite large
c) wearing a big jumper

nailpolish · 12/12/2007 15:27

i do it

NOT with heeled boots tho, ugg type only

i am

a. 34
b. 5' tall
c. size 10

lizandlulu · 12/12/2007 15:32

i am 27

size 20
i still do it.
yes i have a belly, but im not going to hise in tent like tops or wide trousers that make my legs look bigger than they are.
if you like something, wear it
my fave outfit at the mo is dark skinny jeans, long sleeve thin jumper under short sleeve jumper, and leather boots i got from tesco, and i absoloutly love them to death. best thing i have bought all year! and thats saying something!

Piggy (39, size 12, 5') checks out her twinset and pearls with tweed skirt combo.

CurrantBun · 13/12/2007 12:58

Gemy, by "your other clothes being appropriate to the look" what do you mean?

I fancy this look but not sure what sort of jumpers/tops to wear. I'm very petite and all the long, baggy jumpers and sweater dresses around this season drown me. I'm still wearing last year's fitted v-necks with little white vests underneath but not sure I could get away with these with skinny jeans - would it look too "last year" as well?

I am 38
5'1"
size 6

I find it SO hard to buy clothes that fit - it's not just bigger women that have problems! Really need to update my look but am frustrated as every time I go shopping I can't find anything small enough.

Polgara2 · 13/12/2007 13:11

In answer to the OP - of course you can!! I'm older than anyone has mentioned on here yet (just) (well old enough to have worn it the last time round anyway ) and I love wearing it again. I do couple with long sweater or tunic though. If you want to wear it then just do!

Gemy · 13/12/2007 15:24

Hello Currant, I meant more that the boots and jeans would not look great with, for example, a baggy men's T-shirt

For you, how about a skinny tight polo neck that rests just on the waistband of your jeans,

or a gorgeous little cap-sleeved blouse (perhaps belted?)

or a silk camisole top with a little fitted fine-knit/silk jersey wrap cardigan? [like from Jigsaw)

mummyvontummy · 13/12/2007 15:30

I do it with long, fitted checked shirts that have a tie around the waist-only do it with Uggs but would do it with cowboy boots too xx Those shirts are great for hiding muffin tops!

well I am

34
5,4 or 5,5 depending on where and who measures me (I obviously grow and shrink depending on dampness in the air)
sz 8

and I wear skinny jeans tucked into boots.

black flat leather ones tho as am scared of the ugg type ones.

I feel good, and that IMO, is what matters. If you feel good, you'll look good.

zippitippitoes · 13/12/2007 15:37

mine are tucked into black plastic boots but i walk quik so they look like leather

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 13/12/2007 15:38

I do

26 (sorry, don't throw things at me)
Small muffin top depending on jeans, always covered up
10-12, long legs, sticky out arse.

I do it with heels and flats. Uggs DID scare me, until I saw my friend's yesterday and now I am in love with insanely expensive boots

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 13/12/2007 15:38

pms l @ zippi walkin quick to hide her shoddy fake boots
