Is your bra size usually in stock?

I've just come back from a shopping trip, including looking at bras in M&S, and virtually none of my preferred styles were available in my size (32F). They make them in that size, but were out of stock. And it got me to thinking that this is nearly always the case when I go bra shopping - the two places I go are M&S and John Lewis on Oxford Street, London, so main branches. I generally have to make do with a style that's not what I really wanted, or fudge it with a 34E.
Is it an oversight by the stores or is it a statistical/perception thing?
Does anyone else find this with other sizes?

@peoplearepeople

32hh - Debenhams used to be the only place I could find anything in person. It's so depressing. Looking around at other women I don't think I even have a particularly abnormal size! I think so many woman are wearing the wrong bra size just because they've been convinced by the bizarre shop sizing that 32 back or below basically doesn't exist above a d cup.
I would really agree with this. Small back size and large cupsize is probably an awful lot more common than a lot of bra shops would have you believe.

I reckon you're onto something there.

Anyway, I just measured using the Boob or Bust method. It was tricky getting accurate under-bust measurements on myself but it calculated me as a 30GG!!! (I'm usually a 32F). I find it hard to believe that a 30 band wouldn't be too tight on me. I'll try it though (but I don't think that re-sizing will have widened my selection somehow Grin )

BoB also have a Facebook page where they can help with fit.

I've seen them say that the band sizes won't feel too tight if the cup size is correct, because the too tight feeling is caused by your breast tissue (which should be in the cups) spilling over / under into the band area.

Not unusual to go down in band and up in cup. And with this size, you could really do with support that a sufficiently tight band would offer, so give it a try. If you want to check, put one of your current 32 band bras on back to front - if it is now a lot looser than the other way, then you need bigger cups indeed.
