What’s the quality like? What about sizing? I’m 5 foot and was interested in their lounge ware. It’s a shame they charge for returns as I don’t live near a store either.

I've had a few bits from them and the quality is fine. The trousers are too long though - I'm 5ft too. Their short summer trousers were full length on me. (haven't had those for a couple of years so can't remember if they were cropped or ankle grazer length on a standard model!)

Leah2005 · 18/10/2021 20:03

I really struggle to navigate their website so that has limited what I buy from them.

weekend2021 · 18/10/2021 20:17

Returns take ages to credit - put me off from ordering anything else

Hoolihan · 18/10/2021 20:22

Hit and miss. Quality is good but sizing sometimes a bit mad. I've had really great jeans, tshirts, sweats from there and then some weirdly shaped pjs and huge baggy shirts that I've returned. The cashmere is good.

Shopaholic100 · 18/10/2021 20:26

@Leah2005 I agree, it’s not the most user friendly website. It’s a shame am some of their products look quite nice.

@Shopaholic100 glad it's not just me Grin

whatswithtodaytoday · 18/10/2021 20:29

Quality is good, some of my favourites come from Uniqlo BUT sizing is odd and you really need to try stuff on. Fine if you can do a big order and send it back, but annoying.

Leg lengths do seem very long.

Shopaholic100 · 18/10/2021 20:31

It’s in the same league as Zara, nice clothes terrible website.

Have tons of stuff from them. Generally very good quality. Ideal for wardrobe staples. I find the sizing is spot on for me.
My mum is about your height and she wears their slightly cropped legging trousers and they are normal length on her.

dudsville · 18/10/2021 20:35

They do klarna, so you can wait to pay for what you keep.

MargotEmin · 18/10/2021 20:37

It's much better quality than Zara, and I say that as someone who loves Zara. Uniqlo pay a lot of attention to quality but affordable materials in simple designs.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 18/10/2021 20:41

I have loads of Uniqlo stuff. It's good quality, it washes nicely and almost everything comes in black (here's looking at other clothing companies that only do navy as their dark colour!). Nothing is frilly, which I appreciate. However, I am 5'7" so can't comment on length for petites. I find the sizes pretty consistent. I generally take a Uniqlo medium - I'm a size 12. Sometimes a small will do.

Redcrayons · 18/10/2021 20:44

I’ve got some stuff from there, the Heattech thermals are brilliant.

I think the sizing is a bit on the small size, especially in the leg, but I’m 5’10.

DotBall · 18/10/2021 20:47

Knitwear is fab. I am 12-14 and order their L or XL as their sizing is designed for the east Asian market (who tend to be more petite).

Year6dramallama · 18/10/2021 20:48

It's great for simple basics. Their ultra light down coats and jackets are brilliant value as is their merino wool range. It's good quality.

33goingon64 · 18/10/2021 20:57

I love Uniqlo. Quality is great, amazing value and lovely colour ranges of basics along with unusual pieces.

LeekChic · 18/10/2021 21:01

Do they have any voucher codes?

DameMaureen · 18/10/2021 21:18

I used to buy their fine merino wool but the last two have got holes very easily - one at the rib .

IdLoveToButCantBeArsed · 18/10/2021 21:50

I buy from there a lot, especially their Heattech and blochtech stuff. I'm 5ft 1, size 8-10 and find either their xs or s fit best.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 19/10/2021 06:41

@LeekChic no voucher codes but their sales are really good.
Some of their collaborations are good too; I've had some very gothy Uniqlo X Jil Sander stuff before

Journeyofthedragons · 19/10/2021 08:58

Brilliant if you can go to a store and try stuff on, website not so good.

CorrBlimeyGG · 19/10/2021 09:09

There's a voucher code for first time users, I think you have to sign up to their newsletter.

Excellent quality clothing. Returns are around £3, so order everything in one go and return whatever doesn't fit.

Deathraystare · 19/10/2021 09:25

Can anyone please tell me what is their biggest size - I know they do a XXL does that compare to a 20 or an 18?? I have tried working out their sizes but I cannot see past small on my computer for some reason and they don't seem to have a normal chest waist and hip thing.

elysianpavements · 19/10/2021 09:43

The quality is very good, nice basics and interesting shapes. In some stores (at least before the pandemic) they would make simple length alterations free, so I had some over-long trousers turned up when I bought them. I just browsed some other shops, came back and the trousers were finished and perfect. Really impressive service.

Practicebeingpatient · 19/10/2021 12:49

I'm 5ft 1. My daily uniform is their cropped denim jeggings which just touch my ankle and look like proper jeans. I also like the down jackets
