Could you find me this Ganni dress?

To buy it rent in the UK. Size 12ish.

I know I’ll look like Bigbird and it will make me look like a tent but it’s such a long time since I’ve properly fallen in love with an outfit. I know I have no taste.

It’s a faux feather army green maxi apparently.

The OP is not asking for opinions on the dress she's acknowledged as much in the OP that it won't be everyone's taste, it's hers and that's all that matters.

I've looked OP but it's not easy to find as it's from a previous season. I can only find it in a size 6 or 8 for sale and a size 6 to rent. Ganni does come up very big IME but I'm not sure about two sizes down.

This is the same dress in black for rent in a size 10 but it's without the long sleeves but you could find something to wear underneath quite easily for the same look.

Completely different dress by Ganni but it's available in multiple sizes and it's really amazing in real life.

Sorry I don't know where I made up the existence of sleeves on the green dress it's mostly photographed with a long sleeve underneath and I've just merged it as one.

Honestly though, the shape of it, the way it hangs away from the body, the slow merging of the heavy brocade into the fluffy featheriness. THe fact it shows the top of the body but nothing else. The colour. The stiffness of the material. Drool.

Thanks so much for the rent links. I may look into the renting of the titchy size. Maybe an 8 would be okay if it was really a 10. I was a 10 before the covid pies.

The black one may be the winner, thanks! I never wear black and I do love the colour of the other one but it is right size and a good price. @Kenworthington shall we liaise so we don't try and book it for the same day? What size are you after as if I see one I will pm you!

THe other dress is lovely too but wouldn't suit me. I have sh*t legs and I hate to feel clothes fitted around my body.

You're welcome, have a fab time in the dress. I did notice that in the current collection they have this dress, it looks to be the same cut of dress with a similar jacquard base fabric (but very different colour) but without the feathers. May not be your thing either but if it essentially the same dress you can try the different sizes on in advance if they stock it locally or just order it online (it seems to be well stocked with most etailers) to try so you'll be assured the rental will fit.

@Ruggish I’m a 16 so we won’t be looking for the same size anyways. I don’t know if you know the interior designer Abigail Ahern? I’ve seen her in this frock over jeans with boots and a blazer. And it looks just so fricking cool . I bloody NEED it tbh

I hadn’t heard of Abigail Ahern Ken but I have followed her on Instagram to see if I can see the dress in the wild. I’d dress it down too, boots or trainers, maybe jeans, maybe a tshirt under it.

I think it might have pockets!

I like the mossy tree look. I do like it in black too but it isn't quite as wow, more sedate.

I think I saw it on the Outnet too so it probably suited my algorithms. Mine seem to be to try and sell me something I love that is never available!

I’d like to no own it and wear it for work, but as it’s only available to rent I’ll book it and wear it to a birthday party I’m going to at the local pub. Unless a 10 is too small? But it looks pretty forgiving! Would you like to see it on? I actually don’t think it will suit me, I think I’ll look like a bush, but I do love it!
