I can't find a new crossbody bag I like

So I have had a fake (sorry!) mulberry Antony bag for the last decade and I have loved it for its capacity, soft strap, soft body and durability.

Now I need a new bag but I really can't find anything I like and obviously I can't afford a grand or whatever it is to get a new real Antony, plus I feel like I should get something different.

Maybe I have to accept that I will just have to carry less in it because most options seem quite small, rigid and heavy...

I don't like brands like Radley or Fossil or Coach, and I think leather would be best.

Watching with interest, I had a crossbody bag I used for years and it was sooo ccomfy, it was only River Island. It fell apart so after looking for months I replaced it with a fiorelli one and it's awful :( looks lovely but it's uncomfortable and bulky, I won't get a leather strap next time.

Is Rowallan still available? They are very understated and not expensive expensive.

Kate Spade is reasonably priced (compared to Mulberry!). Or I've being eyeing up some bags from Maje and Sandro. I've also been looking online at crossbody bags from Rebecca Minkoff but no idea what they're like in real life.

Alice’s Wonders have a really lovely range of reasonably priced bags with mix and match straps. I have an olive cross body bag with a striped strap and I love it.

Have a look in tkmaxx, not guaranteed to find one first time but they have lots of stock rotation. I’ve picked up some lovely bags at good prices from there

Oh some brilliant suggestions thank you! I am working my way through them. I have seen the honey and toast ones and the APC ones before and really like the look of them. They won't hold as much stuff as my current bag but I think I might just have to get used to that. Alice's wonders seems amazingly good value too! And mandarina duck, never heard of it but they have some nice stuff 😅

Budget i think is up to £300 for the "one".

@wombforanotherone did you know that Mulberry do a bag exchange now? - so you can buy pre-loved bags directly from them that have been expertly restored. An Anthony wouldn’t be much over your budget IIRC so if you could save a bit more you could have the real thing and it would probably happily last you another ten-fifteen years.

Although I guess you might be in the mood for a change...

I have a beautiful Tory Burch cross body bag. It it the "Perry Bombe mini Crossbody" .

It would be within your budget. I liked it because it is lovely leather, has 2 pockets, a nice strap and is not a bag that everyone has. There are a selection of colours, mine is Taupe (I would love to get a darker colour for Winer but will stick with this until Christmas - I might get a present!!).

You could also look at Coach and Longchamps for that budget.

I had a Mulberry Anthony for the past 14 years but I decided I needed an update.

I think Caroline Gardner has some lovely ones.

Cambridge Satchel Cloud bag. It’s beautiful. They have discontinued it but I’ve being buying up the different colours on eBay.

I have a black Mulberry Antony I may be persuaded to part with as I don't use it much any more. Message me if interested OP. In good condition.
