I am wearing this for a black tie event as I have been nominated for an industry award and I am starting to waiver.

I have bought a strapless stick on bra, so my fried eggs look a lot better so please disregard my lovely pair in the picture.

Hair will be in a french pleat and I am wearing nude heels. Do you think I can carry it off?

It's lovely colour and lovely from the back - the front is a little plain and I'm not keen on the belt.

It looks absolutely lovely. Please don't ruin it with a pashmina. It's totally suitable for a black tie event- a pashmina will bring it right done and make it look as though you are trying to hide, which you definitely shouldn't!

You definitely have the figure for it so yes wear it

The easiest thing for hair at an event is to tie it back into a low bun at the nape if your neck. That always look refined esp if straightening, curling or whatever else hasn't worked out on the day. You can then also wear fabulous larger dangling earrings.

I would go for a really good sheer base accentuating your FABULOUS cheekbones and then do a rally clean eye; maybe a cat eye if you can manage it, otherwise very clean eyes with mascara and brows and then a deep claret lip.

The dress looks great. As for hair, you’ve got quite a long face. When is the ceremony? You could, time permitting, book an updo at your local salon. You have a similar face shame to Sarah Jessica Parker. Maybe look at her styles?

I usually wear very little make up. A MAC highlighter, eye shadow, brow pencil and a good mascara.

I love the cat eye look but I have heavy lids so not something I usually try. Maybe I should?

Definitely a dark berry lip and and clean eyes.

I am liking the low bun idea a lot actually. A little messy is good for me so I’ll have a play with that idea.

I’d forget about the french pleat though , bit dated. Go for tousled or low bun ala Kate Winslet style
